Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Great easy 5-night stay for us as a couple. Shout out to Raba from the front desk team! He is the man that knows what great customer service is. Not only being professional, but stepped forward and helped me with a minor situation. Love the ambien of the public space. Love the fact that they prepared umbrella on a rany day. Love the bedding. Spacious bathroom. We were too busy during the day so too bad didn't have a chance to eat there or use the sauna on site. The hotel is promoting this green thing that you will get a token if you don't need them to do housekeeping. It's fantastic! I don't like the idea of changing the bedding everyday. Bingo! We got our tokens during our stay! We're able to choose from soft drink, beer or wine. The lady bar tender was great when I went get my drinks. Explained things to me very clearly and she was happy to help me organizing to carry them back to the room. Locationwise it can't be better. It's a 8-min walk from the central station. Hotel itself is in the center of Brussels historic area and shopping area. Tons of good options for food! Overall it's a perfect stay for us! The only one thing I would like to request next time I go back is that I would love to have a tub instead of shower. That's all! Cheers!

We enjoyed our stay at the Dominican immensely. The location is great for exploring Brussels. We loved the bar and also had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. It’s a busy area so it can be noisy at night. We would recommend asking for a room that doesn’t face the hotel front. But otherwise, it’s a wonderful boutique hotel.

I've had a wonderful stay. Overall a nicely designed hotel in the city centre. What they don't mention well is the sauna, I was specifically searching for a well-designed but also comfortable hotel. The Dominican is recommended. Breakfast is great and service is good. It's a cozy but elegant hotel.

First time to Brussels It’s a lovely hotel , we had a nice room over the courtyard nice and quiet A bit of an odd set up with the check in though Upon check in , received a lovely welcome , the room was ready hours ahead of time which was a bonus, was told what time breakfast etc , yet when checking out I was billed €54 for 2 days , when I explained it was included according to my Marriott status as displayed on my booking , the lady was a little frosty at first , but when i stood my ground , a supervisor stepped in and removed it , thankful for his intervention , a scenario I could do without ! The bar is odd , stood there , nobody serving , staff at check in kept looking at me , but nobody came so walked out ! The hotel is a great location for the city close to everything to see The wait staff were absolutely brilliant , could not do enough to help when we eat , one gent in particular was probably the nicest guy I have even come in contact with in hotels , so I took notice of his name - Mimoun, I hope he gets the praise he deserves

It is a nice and clean hotel. The staff is very friendly. Smaller rooms. There is no problem with heating or hot showet water as in other hotels in Brussels. As a small negative is too small choice of food for breakfast. I highly recommend the hotel.

Horrible street noise and tons of construction. Charged me breakfast that someone else put on my room when I wasn’t there and wouldn’t take it off the bill even when the signature for breakfast wasn’t even mine. Lots of other hotels in the area for alternatives Looks nice though.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We regret to hear of the disturbance caused by external noise. We wish to highlight that our rooms are equipped with double-glazed windows and we offer earplugs to ensure our guests' comfort. Additionally, for future visits, we recommend requesting a room on a higher floor or facing the courtyard for a more tranquil experience. Regarding the breakfast charge, we take such matters seriously and aim to ensure all charges are accurate. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and will review our procedures to prevent similar occurrences in the future. We hope you will return for an improved experience in the future. Kind regards, The Dominican Team T. +32 (0)2 203 08 08 - info@thedominican.carlton.be

We liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was welcoming and felt luxurious. The staff at the reception, at breakfast and the ones who made the beds were all very nice and friendly. We loved the room, the rainshower and the delicious breakfast, but above all the singing monks in the elevator

Convenient location by Grand plaza and train stations. Very comfortable room with one of the best bedding for a hotel. It’s in the middle of the city and still not too loud. Beautiful interiors with art on the walls. Clean. Friendly staff. Great food and bar. I stayed for a week and found it to be one the best parts of my vacation.

Really nice hotel and staff. Normally we go at Juliana but we wanted to try something else. For us it was as well as Juliana we certainly come back. We had a visit on Saturday from our daughter ,son in law and granddaughter. On Friday we met with a friend who also has been working at the hotel. Our whole stay was very nice.
