Regular visitor very disappointed to find unotified major renovations lounge area and bar both out of action. Unacceptable! Nomaplogy, no recompense, no reduction in price. Sharp practice. Let's hope the renovation is worth it.

Hotel expectations were low following two not so great experiences with Marriott hotels in other cities. The Hilton blew away low expectations and raised the bar on what to expect from a major chain with elite status.
We had back to back reservations paying with...More
The location is excellent - right in front of the Central station (for both train and metro) with a Carrefour Express next door and the Grand Place just behind the hotel. The hotel is undergoing renovations - so can't speak to its "beauty" as other...More
Not great customer service. Got a great rate or would have not stayed. Location is good and hotel needs updating but they are working on it. We were only there for 2 nights so did not do much at hotel but there is plenty to...More

Re adaptors, there are converters and there are adaptors. Not the same thing. The converter changes the voltage from 220 (Europe) to 110 (USA). The plug adaptor lets you stick your USA 2 prong plug into the type of plug that fits the country you are in. They vary by country !
Newer USA apppliances and I think all Apple products can work with the 220 voltage but look on the applicance cord to make sure. Its hard to see but it will say 110-240 or something like that. If so, then all you need is the plug converter. I use this and it worked in France, Italy and UK:
CyberPower TRB1A2 Travel Power Adapter/Converter Combo
You may not need a converter but you will always need a plug adaptor depending on the country. Google converters/adaptors and there are lots of web articles about this.
BTW, the Hilton is across the plaza from the train station that recently had the bomb go off ! But go anyway !
