Our 3 rooms were booked last year ready for the Belgian GP. Very convenient and kept us away from 1) wet camp sites and 2) local noisy town (Francorchamps). However, the price was hiked up for the event and whilst, in some ways that's fair enough, it was over-priced for what it was. That said, lovely hillside setting and very quiet. A very interesting style of house (1938 Belgian Congo) with big rooms and big windows. Somewhat dated and on the cool side. We had the suite which was huge but had only 2 small single beds pushed together - not what you'd expect. The Dutch couple who own the place are lovely and the place is full of eclectic items from their travels. Breakfast was very limited (not that we expected "full English") and no coffee/tea facilities in the rooms. The local town, Stavelot, is lovely and has some decent bars and restaurants. More

My wife and I, together with her two sisters, stayed at Villa Stavelot for three nights in October, 2013. We had initially planned for 2 nights, but the service, ambiance, location, facilities and hospitality were so over the top that we decided to extend our stay. The owners are Dutch, and provide the service and atmosphere that one would expect.

Villa Stavelot is a piece of heaven on earth. Situated on a hillside south of the town, it provides a panoramic view over the valley to the hills on the other side.

This bed and breakfast lives up to its category designation - the beds are very comfortable, the bedding is crisp, white and fresh. Breakfast is typically Dutch - boiled eggs (they have their own chickens), great assortment of breads, buns and croissants (some of it baked on site), fresh meats and cheeses, juices, homemade jams, yogurt and fresh fruits. Dinner is also available by prior arrangement, and uses many ingredients grown in their garden...
