Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just returned from 3 lovely nights here, picked because of the great TA reviews and it certainly lived up to them. We paid the supplement for a sea view room and had a huge room, number 10, with 2 windows overlooking the sea, comfy king size bed, modern bathroom with powerful hot shower over the bath. We opted for half board as the food is so highly rated, and had superb 3 course meals, with plenty of choice on the menu. Breakfast is chosen the night before, which means no buffet and no waste, and again is freshly cooked and excellent. The whole place is clean, well furnished and stylish, the staff friendly, and we look forward to returning.

It’s a perfect place to unwind. The location is peaceful with expansive views over the coast and out to sea. The bedroom and public areas were spacious and high quality. The staff were lovely and so welcoming. Breakfast was really good (we can recommend the smashed avocado and poached egg). It was close to the south west coastal path which gave easy access to the cliff tops and beaches. We will definitely stay there again if we get the chance.

A lovely place to stay with friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable beds and nice clean and light rooms with sea views. It was great having a desk for work and the beautiful Glendurgan and Trebah gardens just 6 minutes drive away. A great breakfast, plenty of choice and gorgeous views from dining room. Travelling solo I found this hotel to be great value and look forward to returning with family in the future.

My wife and I travelled 370 miles from Essex to this lovely hotel,on arrival we checked in and found the room to be sea view and very clean and tidy.It had a lovely large bed made up of two singles zipped together and comfy bedding too.The shower and bath were excellent and the water hotter than anything i have experienced anywhere. We had dinner that night at the hotel and it was very good and also had a drink in the bar too. Breakfast was very good and you pre-ordered it the night before so you knew exactly what you were having. We had meals out the other two nights of our stay as we were visiting my sister. Basically it is a really high end three start hotel and better than many four star ones i have stayed at. Staff all courteous and polite, ample parking, great views all together a really nice stay...Well done.

Lovely, clean and fresh hotel. Couldnt fault anything. Great value and excellent service. So glad we found this place and will certainly book again. The rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable. We had our dog so could only eat in the bar and not the restaurant but this was not a problem at all.

The minute we arrived , we knew we were in for a treat . This is a family owned hotel and it exudes experience in the hospitality trade . It has a light ,immaculate and very pretty vibe about it. We loved meeting Emily and her father Paul . This is a hardworking family who make sure your stay is the best ever. The breakfast was such a treat for two weary travellers. We stayed 4 days and I was very sad to leave. This is the perfect place to stay in this part of the world . Thank you Gibbons family , you really know what you are doing. Alex and Mark James

If I could give this more than 5* I would happily. The staff was so kind and friendly very welcoming. When we arrived we was greeted at the desk and easily got our keys and shown to our room. Breakfast menu was waiting for us for the next morning. The room was stunning views of the coast blew our minds as we love being near the water and this was ideal for us both. Bed was comfy and the facilities clean and tidy ready for us. Breakfast the next day was superb and food was delicious, the lady who served us was kind and made us feel very comfortable. We wish we had stayed longer but we will be back and be recommending this hotel to everyone we speak to.

We booked online for one night for four adults and two dogs, just to visit the University in Falmouth for their open day. At the last minute we had to make a change to our booking and the hotel could not have been more accommodating. We spent most of the day travelling down to Falmouth with several stops on the way. On arrival, first impressions were of a stunning location and an immaculately clean hotel. We were made very welcome by Sam and they patiently explained every detail of our stay. Even our dogs were immediately at home. Our rooms were spotless and tastefully up-to-date, fully stocked with everything we could possibly need after a long trip to Cornwall. We spent a lovely evening in Falmouth so didn't eat at the hotel but felt able to come and go as we pleased. After a good night's sleep (despite the downpours outside) we were treated to an extraordinary breakfast in an area specially set up so our dogs could sit with us. Emily and Eliza were warmly professional, making us feel like we didn't want to leave. Even when our grumpy dog started barking Emily took it totally in her stride. We all left smiling, having loved our stay. Thank you all.
