Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was my first experience staying at a bed and breakfast anywhere, as we usually book hotel rooms, and I wasn't sure what to expect. Steven, the proprietor, was such a fine host and a warm, gracious person! He was very helpful in answering any questions, served a huge, amazing, delicious breakfast every morning delivered right to my room, and even took me to the train station on the day of my departure. I cannot say enough about him, he is definitely in the right business for him, as you can see that he really enjoys what he does.

My room was spacious and very, very clean, with a view of the street, yet extremely quiet and peaceful at night. It was walking distance to my daughter's apartment in Heverlee, which made it very nice for me, although it does take a bit to get to the city center by foot if it is raining, which was much of the time, but I quickly learned to use the bus system with my daughter's help. The only caution I would give is that the stairs to the rooms on the upper floors are narrow and steep, which is apparently just typical for this type of housing, It didn't bother me, but for someone with any problem using stairs, request the first floor.

Overall a delightful stay and I was very happy!

This was a great choice for our stay in Leuven, a comfortable room with stylish touches. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were friendly. I particularly loved the cat that climbed up the ladder to the roof terrace that is available for guests to use......(Don't worry if you're allergic, they are scrupulous about keeping the cat out of the public areas!) As country bumpkins we found the street front room noisier than we are used to - the room at the back would have been quieter - but then we'd have lost our little balcony....

We stayed 2 nights in this art deco house from 1918. It's located about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Leuven. And it's free parking opposite the street of the house which makes this b&b the ideal spot for us. The rates are good (70 eur per night) and compared to the hotels in the centre, much better value for money. The house is big and very characteristic. It has combined the old charm with new trendy details, like a see through bathroom. The hosts were very nice and helpful.

We visited friends in Leuven who live on the same oddly named street, so the location was perfect for us. For those just visiting the city, it is still withing walking distance of the town center. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed. However, breakfast was everyone's favorite part of the stay. There were plenty of food options to serve everyone's taste. I would absolutely stay here again if we come back to Leuven, and my friends are now recommending the place to their future visitors.

I was in this B&B in Leuven for 6 nights. The owner is a very courteous person, he picked me up at the airport and, for the return, he gave me a lift to the airport (all inclused in the price).
The room was very nice and clean, full of comforts (the shower box was very large, the bed was perfect, ergonomic pillows). The breakfast was copious and with good variety, the hand-made marmalades were very tasty and the products were of first quality!
The B&B position is near the center of Leuven (5-10 minutes by walk).

We stayed at Lodging at 8 for Rock Werchter (to old to camp) and were warmly welcomed by the owner. The room (room 1) was great loved the bed and quirky en-suite pod. Fantastic breakfast - prepared later especially over the festival weekend to allow a lay in. Superbly clean, friendly, welcoming perfect place for us to stay and ideal for a little exploring of the town. Cant recommend highly enough. Oh and we had a lift back to the station on the Monday.

Room Tip: we had a fantastic sleep every night so not sure if there's any benefit in different rooms

We spent 2 nights in this B&B in August 2012. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the stairs were quite steep and narrow (but it's usual in nations like the Netherlands or the UK); moreover, the bathroom was literally IN the room, in fact it is divided from the bedroom only by a sheet of glass and it has no door, only a curtain that you can draw around the WC and the shower. I would have preferred a bit more privacy
Anyway, apart from this, the landladies were very nice, breakfast was large and very good (delicious homemade jam!), the location was quiet and confortable, only a few minutes by car from the center of Leuven, parking is available along the street.

This was a great place. I arrived before the room was ready but Steven made me coffee, readied the room, and then I was able to take a nap after a long flight. When I checked out the next day, he drove me to the next hotel in his car! The room was spacious and light, there is free wireless, and the breakfast was hearty. Highly recommended.

Lodging at 8 is the most brilliant value for money, the rooms are lovely and breakfast is great. Steve is a wonderful host! My only problem is that you need to book well in advance, if you can´t get in here try Reve de Luxe it´s pricier but also extremely nice.
