We booked for three nights and it was a very nice experience. Comfortable room, quiet area, we walked to the city centre, bus station and train station ( we had only hand luggage, otherwise I recommand you to take the bus). The owner is a very active, charming and helpful woman. Breakfast is included in the price and you have... More

I was after a cheap room in Brugge last May. Many places like to hike their prices during spring and summer but not here. A basic but great value single room with a more than acceptable breakfast and a very friendly hostess. The hotel doesn't appear to be on any hotel booking sites which is great as it means I... More

Shared bathrooms. Clean but very spartan. Friendly owner but since she works another job you have to adjust to her schedule. We were asked to leave the room early so she can start cleaning and prepare the room for the next guests. The heater also did not work as well when the weather got cold. My stay here felt like... Good budget option (50 euros dble room incl breakfast) for pleasant, clean room, in a quiet residential part of Bruges (though only a few minutes walk from the centre) Just be aware you are sharing a bathroom with 2-3 other rooms, and that the stairs are narrow to the 1st floor and even narrower to the 2nd - we had... We stayed in Ad Libitum for only one night but it was a very good experience. Jacqueline owns the place and she is really nice, we arrived late at night and she waited for us and she even carried our heavy luggage up the stairs... The room was good, with a basin to wash our hands and a mirror, some... More

I stayed at Ad Libitum when day and night time temperatures were a few degrees above and below zero respectively and found the place absolutely freezing. The higher you go in the house, the colder it gets and I was in a big room on the top floor with a little old radiator in the corner which gave out very... More

My friends and I got a room for four at an unbeatable price. The beds were very comfortable and the room was tidy and pleasant, with a sink en suite and a shared bathroom downstairs. The breakfast is comprehensive: a choice of yogurts and breads and a variety of spreads and drinks to choose from. Jacqueline let us leave our... More

Stayed there with my boyfriend in June. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. After having had a lot of trouble getting to Brugge from Amsterdam (our train got delayed by good 3 hours...), we arrived there just before midnight, and were extremely greatful to have someone as kind and forthcoming as our hostess greeting us. The comfy bed of our... More

Once spring is in full swing, the prices of hotels in Brugge creeps up dramatically. Enter Ad Libitum! I was offered a very good price for one of the top floor rooms. After alighting at the Schaarstraat bus stop, Ad Libitum is just a short walk along a residential street. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Jacqueline and shown around.... More

Service - Jacqueline was very nice & helped us with anything we needed. Value - good value. Sleep Quality - excellent. Comfortable beds and quiet rooms. Cleanliness - excellent. Location - 15 minutes walk to town centre so it is a bit far, especially when walking back against the very cold wind after dinner. Need to catch a bus from... More
