we stayed here for 3 nights and were really looking forward to our stay in Bruges but it did not turn out to be nice. We had booked 2 canal view rooms paying a bit extra for the view. When we checked in we were given only 1 canal view room and said the other was upgrade. It turned out to be on level 2 and did not have any canal view but was spacious. When we asked to change it, the reception was closed. It closes everyday at 6 pm, so unusual. However, we let it go and the next day we see a note from reception that they will operate only for 10 am to 11 am. That was a very last min notice to Hotel guests. Not very professional. When we had the upgrade, we also requested to cancel one room as it was not canal view and if they could give us a refund, but they rudely declined. When we requested for an extra towel as the room had an open shower with no door and no curtain, they said it will be an extra charge. I have never seen any hotel charging for an extra towel. My mom had left one of her expensive pair of shoes in room and they were moving to my room as checked out that room a day earlier, the cleaning lady did not tell us we forgot the pair of shoes. When we noticed the shoes missing late eve, we called the emergency number and the owner said it was past reception hours and they wont be able to help. This was very rude when they stayed in the same hotel on the upper floors. All they had to do is come down and give the pair of shoes form lost and found. We were checking out the next day, so I literally had to fight with the manager and they she sent one of the receptionist to hand over the shoes. Please beware before booking at this hotel!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Very friendly staff that we encountered on our visit. The hotel could offer more in the rooms rather charging a fee for everything extra. I would not return to this hotel if I visited Brugge again.

Stayed with friends and was slightly concerned by other reviews but in fact although basic the hotel was clean and the bed really comfortable. Yes not the best hotel but the location was great and the breakfast was a great start to the day.

One star because there is no lower rating here. No closet. No separate shower and toilet. If I take shower, toilet area will be soaked. I've seen it in Nepal but in Europe at over 100 Euros a night? Two hangers behind the entrance door and they expect me to hang all my outer jacket on there. Snooty unfriendly reception. The worst hotel I've ever stayed for what they charge. Had 4 nights nonrefundable reservation, but I think I need to take a loss and change hotel tomorrow. It is that bad!
