Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited the beautiful city of Bruges, and the Townhouse was an excellent place to stay. Lovely house with well appointed rooms, incredibly comfortable beds, and all facilities required for a relaxing stay. Jason and his wife are excellent hosts, providing a wonderful breakfast to set you up for the day. Also great tips about the local area to make your stay enjoyable. We will definitely be visiting again

Excellent room, service, food and location. The room had a keypad to open the door and the insides were really large. The bed was very soft. They greeted us and gave us a map and marked some places. The breakfast was really filling and I drank 5 glasses of tea. And its location is 15 minutes of walk away from the centre and the train station. So its perfect to stay in. Only thing is it sometimes smells garlic in the entrance

We came here as a family with two young children… never easy! But it felt like home from home and the family room set up was perfect. As well as the rooms and bathroom being a high quality and perfectly clean, the beds were very comfortable and the boys loved the daily selection of chocolates! The breakfasts were immaculate and generous and set us up for a full day of touring the city. We know where to book next time!

From welcome to good-bye, we experienced superb service and care. A lovely couple runs the place and provided great advice on tips to enjoy Bruges and a nearby beach. If you are lucky, you may get to enjoy breakfast service from their teenage son. Breakfast was delicious -- different egg choices, cheeses, a selection of bread and pastries, fruit, and yogurt. We stayed three nights and the location allowed us to walk readily to any location in the town. The room we stayed in was large with a modern bathroom that featured a tub and a separate shower with amazing water pressure. You can also get parking for an extra 15 euros a day if you need it and the hosts even did our laundry for a small fee. We hope to go back!

We (2 couples) stayed here for 2 nights in May 2023. The location was fantastic - maybe a 20 minute walk from the train station, and the walk was beautiful. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. When we checked in, they gave us a run down of local places to eat and sights to see. While we stayed, we ran into an issue with a rental car that they very kindly helped us sort it out. We stayed on the top floor in the Blueberry Suite and the Vanilla Suite. Our rooms were absolutely gorgeous. The views from the windows looked out over the city and were amazing. The bed was super comfortable. My only note is that the rooms are not accessible for anyone with mobility issues (steep stairs with lots of steps), so just something to note for some travellers. The breakfast was delicious and included fruit, a yoghurt parfait, bread, pastries and cheeses, and your choice of eggs. The breakfast room and court yard were both comfortable places to hang out. If we return to Brugges, we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!!

Calm and cosy place, about 5 - 10 min. walk from the main market place and attractions. We stayed in the Cinnamon Suite, which was beautifully furnished with a living area, modern bathroom and a separate room for our son. Perfect place to relax after a long day on the busy streets of Brugge. The nice and tasty breakfast was prepared by our hosts as a 3 course menu. There are plenty of restaurants nearby for which the hosts provide their own recommendations. A parking lot can be booked separately, which is located just across the street. We can for sure recommend.

Wonderful establishment with amazing hosts. Breakfast was simple but you can keep asking for more. Great location and best of all, Jason the host will carry your luggage up and down the stairs and even load them into the cab. Your door access is personal and easily go remember. Nothing more to ask other than better weather do we can enjoy the outdoor space.

We spent a wonderful 3 days at this beautiful house. Perfect location for exploring Bruges (with parking if you need. We did and just left the car there). Gorgeous decor, high quality furnishings throughout. The family suite is perfect for a couple and 1/2 children as the kids have a separate room away from the bathroom and door and the adults a very comfortable super king bed. Breakfast was more plentiful than anticipated with fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread and pastries plus a choice of eggs. I need the eggs and bacon tips as our eldest has never eaten eggs all up like that before! Super hosts are are on hand for anything you need but not imposing at all. If we are going to visit Bruges again I only hope The Townhouse is available, it’s super! Thank you to our hosts for a lovely stay

Staying at the Townhouse was one of the highlights of our trip! The owners reached out before we arrived and were very responsive. Upon arrival, Jason sat us down with a map and walked us through the city, asking what we were interested in and tailoring recommendations. We stayed in the Blueberry Suite- it was absolutely perfect. So comfortable, decorated beautifully, had great views, with over the top touches from Sandra and Jason throughout. Fresh water, coffee, tea, welcome chocolate, FRESH FLOWERS both days!! If we had any “chill” in us, it would have been the perfect space to relax with a book and coffee in the morning. Another over the top surprise here was the breakfast-multiple courses of incredible food, fresh home cooked by Sandra (and Jason?). They truly go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable, and are a joy to chat with. This was the best lodging experience we’ve ever had through travels to over 15 other European cities. The hospitality was the second to none, room was perfect, and there is no doubt we will be returning!
