The host Patrick was fantastic, a beer and a brief overview of Brugge history on arrival was brilliant. A brilliant breakfast spread with the best eggs in Brugge. I don't think you could find better at this price point.

My husband and I visited historic Brugge at the end of our Sept trip, and luckily I chose Brugge-man B&B for our stay there! We visited, biked, and hiked in 4 countries during those 3 weeks. I had made the reservation in May at Brugge-Man B&B, because it had gardens and wonderful recommendations online. I want to add to those outstanding recommendations! Calling ahead from Luxembourg to confirm and ask if we could arrive a day early for the 3 night reservation, Patrick shared that Booking.com had canceled the reservation. Surprised and dismayed, I relayed that I had not cancelled. Patrick calmly said we can sort this out and he did that and service way beyond our expectations! Having all their rooms full, they prepared a room overlooking the gardens not usually for guests and we enjoyed 4 nights and days at this charming B&B. Patrick picked us up at the train station, oriented us to the location of the old city even driving us to the closest city gate the first afternoon, and prepared the most artistic and delicious breakfast buffet imaginable. Brugge was most interesting to visit, but what we will remember most is the ultimate hospitality shared with us at Brugge-man B&B. We highly recommend a stay there.

I have waited writing this review because I knew it would be extensive. I stayed with my now twelve year old son at Patrick's and Magda's bed and breakfast for four nights. Originally we had planned three nights but liked it so much that we stayed an additional night. First of all, email correspondence with Patrick was quick and easy. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and sat down on the back deck in the beautiful garden. Patrick explained the city of Bruges to us, what to know, gave suggestions etc etc. It was only mid day so I thankfully declined the wine etc Patrick offered me but I thought the idea was lovely. We were in the attic room and really, really liked that. Away from other rooms and possible noise. The room was big, had a sink in it, a hairdryer, ample storage, a desk, chairs, a big bed, a water bottle and glasses on the night stands, and fluffy robes. By the way, you are leaving your street shoes in the entrance hallway to walk around on the wood floor in guest slippers. We liked that because you could never hear footsteps, even on the wooden stairs. Because we were so early we got a chance to get a tour of the house by Patrick and look at the three other bedrooms. Every one nice and unique in its own way. There is a shared toilet and a shared bathroom, the latter one being very big, bright, and lovely decorated. Soft music played day and night. I will come back to the cleanliness later but let me tell you, those two rooms were kept IMMACULATELY clean at all times. We had brought our own shampoo and shower gel so I do not remember anymore if they provided some for the guests or not. Now, the breakfast. Let me tell you, I have traveled a few years as a flight attendant as well as many, many years privately all over Europe and the USA. That breakfast was outstanding. You could not wish for more. An abundance of fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, fish, breads, crepes, and freshly laid eggs by their own chickens, artfully presented. Good coffee and a big variety of teas. You are sitting at a round table with the other guests and we enjoyed talking to the people from other countries. Patrick is a great host who speaks many different languages and chimes in when language problems occur. The B&B is in a quiet neighborhood and there is lots of free parking. We never felt unsafe. A supermarket is about five minutes away, and it took us, fast walkers, about ten minutes to walk to the historic center of Bruges. No worries, you are not going to get lost, it is not complicated to find your way around. But your are being provided with a map anyway. Now, back to cleanliness. I don't remember ever having been in a guest house or hotel THIS clean and so well taken care of. I am not kidding. There could have been so many spots in the bedroom alone with dust on it, just because there was so much wood and it being so big. But no, it was perfectly clean. The whole house was, always. That in combination with superb hosts - both so kind, friendly, generous, helpful, and caring, a great and safe location, an affordable rate, flawless reservation and email correspondence, and a fantastic breakfast...make this the place to stay when you go to Bruges. Thank you, Magda and Patrick - we will never forget our wonderful stay with you! Best wishes, Kerstin and James

We stayed here for a birthday and anniversary and are not sorry! The area is out of the city but it is easy to walk in. It is in a quiet and respectful area. On arrival we were welcomed with open arms and swept into the back garden. Magda waved at us (she was gardening) and Patrick sat us down with wine and told us about the history of Bruges with maps. It was nice not to to be sent to our rooms immediately and allowed us to relax. Our room was a nice double, comfortable bed. There was a shower in the room, the communal toilet(nice and clean) was in the hall. Breakfast was at a 7 seat circular table and it was nice to speak to other guests. A feast of fruits, cheese and meats are laid on. Mostly the former. Try the poached pears - they’re to die for! Boiled eggs from the chickens in the garden are lovely - they are quite soft so if you prefer harder say. Certainly one of the friendliest guest houses we’ve been to, and we’ve been to a few!! Look after your keys! We lost our room key and we’re mortified but Patric and Magda were lovely about it. I would definitely return here!

Clean and cozy rooms. The hosts make almost everything possible to ensure a pleasant stay The welcome check-in was the most pleasant for me, with a sangria, excursion destinations and worthwhile photographic motifs were explained by a map of Bruges and the surrounding area.
