Marjan B&B is a unique place, definitely the best accommodation we've ve ever stayed in. Our room was very spacious, basically a junior suite, which was a surprise considering the good price we paid. Both the room and the house are full of weird, vintage posters, dolls, memoriabilia and decorations... It's just amazing! You can feel the love and the dedication Marjan and her family put in this place. Every day you'll discover a new detail you haven't noticed before. You will never find another place like this, it just fits in Bruge's artistic and romantic atmosphere. Other details that made our stay perfect: window view on the canal (wonderful in the morning); fresh pastries, fruit and bread for breakfast; Marjan advices on where to go and what to do in Bruges; Jimmy the cat, who slept in our room a couple of times; homemade beer and apple wine.

Would recommend Marjans bed & breakfast to anyone visiting Bruges. Marian was an excellent host making one feel homely from the start. Her recommendations for restaurants and bars were spot on, also providing maps and suggestions.....soooo helpful. Breakfasts were just right, lovely fresh croissants and breads, served with something different each day, a lovely way to start the day. The room was very clean with comfy beds. Unique decorations just make it more special. Thank you Marjan

We had a great time with Marjan. She kindly agreed to let us drop our bags off early which was a great help. The room was delightful, spacious and quirky, with always something new to discover. Marjan's breakfasts are to die for, and her hospitality (including her own wine) was splendid. We rented bikes from Marjan and this was the perfect way to get around lovely Bruges. This is a very special B&B - if you appreciate the unusual and the curious you will love this place. We would definitely stay with Marjan again on a return trip to Bruges.

After deciding to visit Bruges, I was seriously stuck on where to stay. After some hotel stays in the past I have now decided to try the more characteristic B&B's out there and I found Marjan's through AirBnB. As others have stated quite clearly, this place is situated about 20 minutes walk north east of the station and just 10-15 minutes from the town centre (it's located to the east) in what I can best describe as a truly beautiful part of the city. My window overlooked the edge of the town's canal and the en suite facilities were facing some of the neighbour's beautiful gardens so overall the view was breath-taking. The room itself can be best described as unique with some 'unusual' decor such as a statue's head in the toilets and a mannequin near the dining table, a stuffed swan near the bathroom and a collection of travel guides in English, French and Flemish. Incredibly spacious, cosy and comfortable I was deeply impressed by the steps taken by Marjan to provide a very eccentric and trendy staying experience. The food was served in your room (it was left outside your door from 0830 to 0900) and consisted of fresh pastries and bread from nearby bakeries. Even though they were simple, they nevertheless were a great way to start the sight-seeing (and eating) experiences of Bruges. To cap it all off, when checking-out (before 11am) I requested guidance on bus routes to Bruges train station from Marjan. I was completely taken aback when she offered to drop me off at the station in her own vehicle! Marjan is an incredibly kind, hospitable host who provided one of my most memorable stays in any B&B's I've had so far. I highly recommend this place and I'm shocked that it has remained a 'hidden gem'. There aren't many certainties in this life, but one more thing that you can add is that I'll be returning here the very next time I visit the beautiful city of Bruges. PS - Marjan makes her own beers and is as knowledgeable as they come in recommending shops, restaurants and beverages. Listen to her and trust me, you can't go wrong!
