Hotel more or less on the promenade and short walk to central shops and railway station. Food very basic with no choice and told where to sit to fill up tables in dining room. Glass of wine in bar only 2.50 euros though! Room large with view of a wall from the window (606). No tea or coffee facilities in...

Travelled to Ostend via National Holidays, paid £99 for 3night bed, breakfast and evening meal stay plus ferry crossing and transportation and day trip to Bruges. So for the money we paid we weren't expecting much from this hotel. How wrong we were, meals were very basic but were filling and they always came around with extra helpings, think 70s...

We again went on a break with National Holidays. In our room the bathroom basin was badly stained. The walls in the bedroom section where marked and looked like they had not been cleaned. The staff again at breakfast are ignorant and boss you around. Still a very basic hotel and ok for a cheaper coach holiday.

We stayed in the Royal Astor from Friday 27th Jan to Monday 30th Jan and travelled with Harry Shaw. The hotel is very nicely situated by the beach and harbour and is within a stones throw from the shops, bars and restaurants in Ostend. The hotel is very clean and presentable. Some things are a little tired and could be...

Me, my lady & our 14 month old daughter stayed here Monday to Friday. It's a cold meat, bread, cereal with hot drinks buffet breakfast. Evening dinner is not very filling unless your on a slim diet, there's an indoor swimming pool. The bedrooms are all en-suite with shower over bath with a hairdryer, there are 2 lifts to all...

This is our fourth visit to this hotel with National coaches and as always the holiday didn't disappoint. Staff were very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The room was warm and clean, towels changed daily. The food is also good. We are looking forward to our yearly Belgium trip again next year :)

This hotel is in a quiet street about 1 minute from the beach and 3 minutes from the centre of the town. It is a small hotel with about 50 rooms. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. There was a shower over the bath and the water was always hot. There was also a...

Off the main road situated on a side street the Royal Astor is only a few minutes away from the main shoppping area. Nice room with balcony over the front of the hotel with a sea view. It also benefits from having its own swimming pool. Helpful and friendly staff.

Traveling with a coach group, the Royal Astor was our base for the weekend. We found our room clean and comfortable. The usual continental problem with no in room drink making facilities but we now go prepared with a travel kettle and the makings. The dinner was basic but very tasty and well presented. The vegetarian option was well received...

Can't remember what number trip this is to the Royal Astor - but it is a safe haven for me. (Anyone who knows me knows that I have to feel comfortable in a place.) Staff as usual are lovely and friendly, always plenty of hot water and lovely fresh towels. Food good and plentiful - was really delighted on our...
