This hotel is very basic and more as you might expect student accommodation to be - certainly not 3 star. Our room in the ground floor was rather dingy and although quite recently decorated still had a very budget feel about it. No premium linen or furnishings here. Website photos suggest a more premium experience that the reality. The ground floor rooms are on a lower level to the reception but there was no lift - just two spiral staircases so it would not be good for anyone with mobility issues. Didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food. For one night I guess it was ok but we won’t be hurrying back.

First visit since covid and glad to say nothing has changed. Very clean. Good location. Friendly staff. Value for money. Great selection at breakfast. Did not eat in the restaurant on this occasion but it has previously been very good.

Stayed one night at this hotel - we booked it because of the off street parking as we were driving our old minis. It’s situated in an industrial estate so not a particularly nice walk into town which took about 20mins. Room was quite spacious and clean however there is no sound proofing whatsoever. I could even hear snoring from next door. Breakfast was very good, freshly squeezed orange juice, continental selection and a hot food section as well. Busy, but the staff were v good at replenishing the food and clearing tables. Called into the bar in the evening and ordered a nightcap of four whiskies….the barman poured two doubles and when we explained it was four single whiskies he argued that we had only ordered two. We didn’t bother with the drinks and left.

Not our normal venue (usually the Ariane) in Ypres but chosen on price because of expected travelling companions. Functional basic hotel without any comforts and adequate simple breakfast in canteen type room. Bedroom on ground floor in long corridor simply furnished. Bathroom had a musty smell - don’t remember (might be wrong) any extractor fan. Not a venue we will revisit.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights. My room was satisfactory. The staff are very friendly. The hotel facilities include a bar and restaurant. I had dinner in the restaurant one night and the meal was very nice and excellent value for money. There is a continental style breakfast buffet. The hotel has a car park and is about a ten minute drive from the centre of Ieper (Ypres). There is a bus stop almost outside the hotel with a frequent service to and from the town centre.

Visited with a history group ftom the U. K. to tour WW1 places of interest. The hotel was a good base, it was clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent and two other evening meals we had were both good. The hotel is about a mile outside Ypres centre but taxis and buses are available. We did not spend a lot of time in the hotel as we were out early every day! Staff could be a bit grumpy!!

We stayed 1 night at the Flanders’s lodge during our war graves tour. We had a x4 room that was comfortable and clean and came with a great buffet breakfast. It’s about 1.8km out of town which is walkable but easier by cab… Perfectly located for visiting Ypres and beyond.

To begin with , our bathroom. It was left an absolute state. There was a brown liquid in our toilet, mould on the shower and dust everywhere, our door didn't lock and there was no hand soap. Then to make matters worse the cupboards in our room were not clean and had crumbs all over them this is horrific. We had a room with bunk beds which seem to barely be stable and it was if you would fall off. The duvets do not fit the bed meaning we all had a cold sleep. Due to this a few of us shared single beds due to the condition. On the singular chair provided there was a odd mark making it uncomfortable mentally to sit on. Honestly absolutely disgusting would rather sleep outside. Along with the room the ‘food’ was awful. We were served chicken potatoes and carrot all of which were covered in a suspicious gravy. This was horrible to eat. For veggies was a potato with a abnormal amount of garlic. It was unpleasant. Overall this is one of the worst places I have stayed and don’t recommend it to anyone.

We stopped here to break up the journey from UK to Italy. The hotel doesn’t look big but, once inside it is like Dr Who’s tardis. The staff are great, the rooms are very pleasant and the breakfast was great. The hotel is only a mile from the Menin Gate so ideally located to take in the poignant Last Post ceremony which occurs every evening. The only problem, which is nothing to do with the hotel, there is NO footpath by the road to the town so occasionally you have to walk along the edge of the road.

Was looking for an affordable room with air conditioning when I booked this hotel. Found it on this site. The parking lot confused me, I followed navigation and pulled into the marked entrance, but didn't see how to get to the parking lot. After a few minutes my son pointed to a path that led to the free but small lot. The common areas are not air conditioned; however guests rooms are. Really enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was include and was very good. Would staf here again.
