We really loved this Hotel as a base for our trip to see the city of Ypres and First World War graves. The in-room facilities are as you would expect, though a Nespresso machine is also included. Breakfast is very good too and the location of the breakfast room in the restaurant

An easy walk to the Menin Gate and it does have parking in the grounds. Check in was perfectly efficient and they produced a map so we could find our way around. We were on the ground floor and walked though what was effectively a small first world war museum. Room was

How far from the Menin Gate?
About a ten minute walk, no more, unless you get distracted by the numerous bars, restaurants and chocolate shops on the way!

Is there a king-bedded room in your hotel? If so, what is the nightly rate for a 3 night stay?
Good morning Richard. I'm not sure whether the Ariane has king beds in any of their bedrooms. Best ask them directly I think. Also the rates for an extended stay at the Ariane are listed on their excellent website. If and when you do visit Ypres and the surrounding sites and countryside, I hope you have a good and memorable time. It is a place that British and Commonwealth soldiers fought and died for in their many thousands. I visit most years as I have 2 Uncles who perished, one on the Somme and one in Passchendaele. As a Canadian I would strongly suggest you take time out to visit Vimy Ridge. Your blokes fought bravely there and in my opinion, it has the most magnificent of all the War Memorials erected in Northern France and Belgium. I promise you that it will take your breath away when you first see it some miles away. I go most years and it still makes me gasp over it's great beauty. Have moments of sadness and reflection whilst there but also enjoy yourself too ! Ypres has many good pubs and restaurants serving decent beer and grub.
