Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is centrally located and close to all Ypres town has to offer. The staff are polite and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The breakfast has a large selection of different foods on offer ranging from a full continental breakfast to scrambled eggs and bacon. The rooms are clean and spacious with good sized bathroom suites and the rooms facilities are also very good.

The Albion Hotel was well up to its excellent standards. We were a group of battlefield guides on a visit to the Ypres area. The rooms were great, the bar very welcoming and the breakfast good. The car park is very convenient. The hotel is well set up for small groups of battlefield tourists and I would certainly highly recommend it.

We were highly impressed with this family-run hotel. We booked a superior room with a Shower and a bath that turned out to be on the 4th floor with a skylight view of the nearby church and rooftops . The room was smart, spacious , comfortable and spotless. A lot of thought had gone into the design. The welcome was warm, on site car parking (paid) was excellent and so was breakfast. There was nothing that we were not impressed with and we might well return just because we enjoyed the hotel so much !

Had a very pleasant two night stay at the Albion Hotel in mid-January. Located on a quiet street a short walk from the Grote Markt, the hotel was very clean and modern with comfortable rooms for my friend and me. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with good dining suggestions. The bar area was a welcoming place to relax with an evening nightcap and the breakfast was great value. Recommended to us by Flanders Battlefield Tours, we will look to stay at the Albion for a future Ieper visit.

The Albion Hotel is our forever-hotel i Ypres. Everything with regard to a hotel is perfect at the Albion: a central, quiet location, a secure private parking lot for hotel guests, a very friendly, informative reception staff, big rooms with comfortable beds, everything spick and span, a delicious breakfast, all in all: we must come back to the Albion again.

The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of town just off the main square. The staff were so friendly and helpful and great fun too. Breakfast was also excellent and our rooms were also perfect for our needs. It was also so convenient for parking. A strong recommendation

Very good value, comfortable, helpful staff, ideal central location. Perfect for a work trip and will be recommending to colleagues. I particularly appreciated getting a call from the hotel shortly after checking out to let me know I'd left my watch in my room!

Lovely welcoming, family run hotel. Spotlessly clean, light airy well appointed room, tea and coffee in room. Good bathroom with an excellent shower. The bar is comfortable, well stocked and I must recommend trying the local beers on offer. About 250mtrs to the main square and 500mtrs to Menin Gate this hotel is in a very convenient location. No doubt about it, any future visits to this area will include a stay here.

An excellent stay at the Albion Hotel. I have stayed here previously with my wife and children, which was also wonderful. This time, I had a bit of spare holiday to use up and decided to go on a short road trip with my Dad and Ypres was our chosen destination. Having had such a good time previously, I was happy to be able to book 2 rooms at the Albion. As previously, we were made to feel really welcome. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable (we had two adjacent rooms along our own mini corridor on the first floor). Breakfast was included and as before was delicious and set us up for the day. As it was just my Dad and me on this visit, we made a bit more use of the bar! Clearly, an added bonus is the secure car park behind the hotel. Another positive is the fact the hotel is located only a few minutes walk from the main square. My family and I are regular visitors to Ypres. The town is beautiful and easy and quick to get to from Calais or Dunkirk. It goes without saying that I'll be looking to book rooms at the Albion for our next visit. Thank you!
