Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The venue was very accommodating and the service from the staff was exemplary. A great selection of breakfast options and packed lunches for our battlefields tour. The rooms were clean and the en suite bathroom was also clean. I would recommend this hotel for large groups.

Well organized, friendly service - a nice place to stay in Ypres. Went with 18 students and they were all happy with the arrangements and lodging. Would highly recommend to anyone taking a school trip with young people to Ypres. We were treated well and with respect.

Awesome accommodation. Great for big groups. Staff is amazing and very helpful and flexible! We stayed here with 50 children for our field excursion to Flanders. The contact with the staff was nice and they thought along with us to provide a stay as convenient as possible.

Stayed with a group of 36 year 8 students. The stay was perfect from beginning to end, Stefaan Vanderstraete was always a phone call away to assist and made check in very easy and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was very good. We were able to make our own packed lunch which worked brilliantly for us. Would love to stay again next year if they have availability. Diolch.

The Poppies and the others on the chain are by far best places to stay for school groups. We have just returned from an amazing tour of the battlefields. The facilities keep the students busy as there are games and excellent social areas to hang out. The buffet breakfast has something for everyone, as does there self made packed lunches. The managers will do everything to make your stay a good one. A 5 minutes walk to the Menin Gate and Central to everything.

Great accomodation for groups especially schools or youth groups, centrally located in Ypres with easy access to Menin Gate, town square and shops. A variety of different sized rooms, all ensuite, to accommodate teachers/ leaders as well as theYoung People. Very clean and easy to use. Plenty of space for getting together as well as different zones for games, group time, quiet time and adults only. Minibar available for adults Breakfast was provided and an evening meal at a nearby restaurant , both of which were very good. We appreciated the wine/ soft drinks with the evening meal. Highly recommended. We will come again

I regularly visit Ypres and have stayed with student and adult groups at Poppies. The facilities are fantastic for any group and the location allows access to all the attractions and the history of the area. The breakfast and packed lunches provided are good and allow for a full day of exploring. I cannot recommend this hostel highly enough for group visits.
