We were surprised with a night here during our family holiday in the Dordogne, and it was an absolute joy for my wife and I. We've heard about minimalist, conservation driven places before, but never expected to experience it first hand. It didn't disappoint. Perfectly balanced between simplicity and necessity the set up and lay out is ideal to encourage...

Absolutely love this place. 2nd time I've been in 4 years. The owners Matt & Wendy are great, so friendly and helpful. The yurts are excellent, and whole experience is liberating. This is ideal for the seasoned camper or novice. Plenty to do in the surrounding region too if you have a car.

Amazing. Had a great time. The Yurts are nice and cosy and any worries we had about the compost toilets melted away when we saw how clean and fresh they were. It's honestly fine. The views are incredible and even though we didn't have great weather its great fun wrapping up warm in the yurt and reading a book under...

Think of the best of camping in excellent weather, put in a brilliant location, with welcoming, informative, friendly and inspiring hosts (or solitude if your prefer, they don't intrude!). The aesthetics of the site are amazing - carved wood items (door handles, loo roll holders etc), up-cycled items (old sewing machine treadle being the base of the washstand, and form...

We stayed here in August with our two young sons aged 3 and 6 (the owners kindly made an exception as they don't normally allow kids under 10) and we all absolutely loved it. We were only there for two nights (and with small kids that was probably about right) but as a couple we could have happily stayed longer....

Wow, seriously the view from La Cabushe yurt was priceless. We were surrounded by the fabulous French countryside with a sunflower field right in front of us. You could see and here all the wild birds around you and feel one with nature. The yurt was beautiful with twinkly fairy lights and candles to add to the relaxing and romantic...

We had an outstanding stay at Chez Devalon in the La Cabushe yurt. The yurt itself was stunning and comfortable (this was our first time staying in one!), with an amazingly well equipped kitchen, BBQ and terrace overlooking the stunning rolling countryside. The area and local villages are absolutely beautiful and well worth visiting, but you will be absolutely content...

My partner and I recently made a visit to Le Grand Abri, Chez Devalon and we had a holiday to remember, all for positive reasons. We travelled by ferry to St Malo and then continued our journey to Chez Devalon via car...the journey through the beautiful French countryside got us off to a great start. We then arrived at Chez...

My partner and I stayed in a Quirky Camping yurt last week and we had a brilliant time! Wendy and Matt who own the smallholding with the yurts are super friendly, welcoming and a pleasure to stay with. When you rent a yurt you get your own kitchen, solar heated shower and composting loo, all with amazing views and we...
