Dom Dinis is located in the Alleyways of Beja, a stone's throw from the castle. Amazing Portuguese mixed grill at really reasonable rates, one of the best we've had! Served with apple sauce and a special bread, done to a turn...

Dom Denis is a great choice for accommodations in Marvão. When you arrive, you will be warmly welcomed. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location close to the castle. The room rate is a very good value.

As Marvao is a rather higgledy-piggedly town It is rather difficult to navigate the small cobbled streets however if you finally make it to the guest house you are in for a nice surprise. Close to the famous moorish castelo - free availble parking just next to the hotel - lovely to look at, very picturesque. And the terrace with...

Very nice and typical small hotel. Has a free outside parking. Because it is in a very old city with stone walls, it is not obvious to get to the hotel at the top. Hosts are very kind and accomodating. A building of that age has no elevator. The room is large and the view from the window is incredible....

This charming hotel is perfectly situated at the top of the village very near the castle. We received a very warm friendly welcome, we were shown to our very comfortable room and were blown away by the terrace and probably the best view in the village. The room was large, comfortable and immaculately clean. The bathroom was fabulous with a...

This is a small guesthouse on the western edge of Marvao. Note that they have a free parking space for cars but you may wish to park your car outside the city walls to avoid driving in narrow streets with hairpin bends (which we did with difficulty in our Audi A4 estate car). The staff were waiting for us due...

Great place to stay. Rooms nice and clean. Perfect location next to the castle. Hosts are very warm, welcoming and informative. Marvao feels like a real medieval experiance and Dom Dinis gives it the extra touch. Breakfast is superb.

A gem of a place, genially located next to the castle. The hotel is small, inviting, rustic and fresh, with a superb location. Our room was simple but very nice, a mix of fresh and rustic decor, a small but beautifully renovated bathroom, a very comfortable bed and we even had views to the valley and the castle from our...

What a beautiful location at the top of Marvao and with amazing views of the castle and across the valley from the terrace... if you don't stay here, you are missing a great opportunity to see Marvao when the tourists are not around!!! Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful, wandering around the streets in the evening and the morning after...

Just went for one night. Another B&B owner suggested seeing Marvao (in The Top Ten Places to See before You Die.) After we checked in,(based on TripAdvisor research) Jorge at the front desk, moved our car, got our luggage and then asked if he could get us anything. "A bottle of red, por favor. And chips!" So, while we waited...
