Really enjoyed my stay here, me and my partner stayed for 10 nights. It was very good value for money. Great location, equal distance from old and new town. Only a few minutes walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly, especially at the bar and restaurant. Excellent food too! There are two pools and lots of sun loungers so you never have to wait for a spot. The bar had entertainment each night and although some was not to my taste I really enjoyed the reptile show! The room was much bigger than expected, the kitchenette had everything we needed and the room was well kept. I saw reviews about street-facing rooms having lots of noise but the only noise I heard were the crickets. All in all I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.…

We have stayed at Alagoamar apartments before and had booked through Alpharooms this time. On arrival, the 2 young Ladies on Reception were very polite, efficient and helpful, as I had forgotten to print off the booking voucher and they helpfully printed it for me. I have seen other reviews about the reception staff being unhelpful, but this is not the experience I have had. The apartments are basic but clean. We stayed in apartment 211, which is directly opposite a busy roundabout, is on the first floor and suffers from excessive noise from traffic and people passing by, particularly late at night. The location is fairly central between the old town and the strip, with a large supermarket and many restaurants nearby. Single beds are provided in the apartments and unfortunately, our beds were not that comfortable and we used the Duvet as a mattress topper. I'd have given a score of 3 and a half if it had been available, but didn't rate the apartments as a score of 4. We did not complain to reception, as many other reviews have stated they were unable to be moved, so I have no idea what the response would have been if we had complained, although I've no doubt that there have been complaints about the noise from other occupants of apartment 211 have happened before. My advice to anyone considering staying at the Paladim/Alagoamar apartments would be to book a room with a pool view! This will greatly reduce the road noise.…

The staff are extremely unhelpful and don’t seem to want to take responsibility only pass everything onto someone else. Once you check out they don’t want to know about you sent email of complaint several times and was just ignored!!!

We go there most years.It is so friendly and clean.The food is to die for and very reasonable.Staff can't do enough to make sure your holiday goes without any problems.A real feel good factor.We are booked to go back again in a few weeks and cannot wait.Music at night is very enjoyable as it suit's all taste's.Lovely pool's with lot's of sun beds.We love the pool view's as it is a lot quieter.Love the place.

Booked this hotel through travel agent , so did not know what to expect. From the time we arrived at reception we were treated with a smile , and for the next ten days every member of staff could not have been more helpful and friendly . We had a 1 bed apartment which was very big ( bedroom and living space ) large balcony and good sized bathroom , can I say at this point , all were spotlessly clean . Clean towels and a mop round every day , bins emptied and the girls were polite and cheerful . We ate in the hotel several times and other than a wee issue with cold potatoes the food was really good and well priced , a bottle of wine at 10 eu and Superbock at 2-50 eu were good reasons to eat here . At this point I have to mention that all the front of house staff were very good and very professional , then there was Jose and Ana , these two special people made our stay exceptional , above and beyond service and one of the reasons we will book next year nothing was too much trouble and worth their weight in gold ( I offered them jobs ) but they didnt fancy Scottish weather lol. The bar b q hut , pool bar and spacious surroundings along with two pools added to the relaxed atmosphere and there was entertainment every night . Try the Friday bar b q at 18 eu , great value with two free drinks included. This hotel is in a great position for the old town or the strip , 2mins from large supermarket and several good eating places in a 4 min walk . All in all one of my most enjoyable stays anywhere in europe and all well priced . Thanks once more to Ana and Jose and all the staff who looked after us .…
