Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just arrived back in the uk after having 10 days at the hotel! I couldn’t have picked a nicer, chilled hotel that is just slightly off the old town which makes it even more desirable. Paul, one of the owners is very welcoming and a pleasure to chat too and deal with. Basically, you are pretty much left to your own devices and I love the idea of the honesty bar, so you’ll not having to try and find anybody when you fancy a nibble or drink during the day. The walk upto the hotel from town isn’t too bad but if your legs aren’t upto it, an Uber will do the trick for €4/5. The rooms are spotless and cleaned every day by a small and great team who are just as friendly with it. If you’re looking to get away from it all then this is the place.

This hotel in a quiet part Of Albufeira, in the Old Town, apparently Sir Cliff Richard's former Villa, is a treat to stay in. Paul and his team made us very welcome. The breakfast for a 3 star Hotel is impressive, both continental and cooked. The pool is lovely, with plenty of sun beds for all. It has an unusual set up for the bar, a honesty bar where you can get a range of drinks, and snacks, rolls, pies etc. The hotel is kept clean, with life saving aircon in the rooms! We went the first week of October in abnormally hot conditions, with temperatures reaching 28 degrees celsius most days. We feel in could easily get a 4 star rating. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to this hotel and had another lovely week here! Hotel is so relaxing and love the the breakfast, pool area etc. We would have liked a kettle in our room but now discovered that guests can request one at a minimal cost. We’ll definitely be back!

Spent a lovely 10 days in this beautiful, quiet spot. Room a lovely size, well maintained and fresh towels every day. All staff very helpful throughout. Food fab and plenty of it. Plenty beds round the pool and jacuzzi very relaxing. The honesty book was a good idea with plenty choice available for drinks (hot/cold!) and snacks. Walk to and from Albuferia centre most days and sometimes twice! (different routes), also the Marina a couple of times, meant we clocked up 25 miles with plenty cardio exercise! Night time walking perfectly safe and used a taxi just the once. Another visit without a doubt!

Very nice hotel, friendly staff and very helpful management. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, only had one evening meal; food was very good but you had to have the three course meal. We were fortunate to be upgraded and room had everything you needed. Honesty bar worked well with plenty of choices of drink and food. The 4 o'clock tea and biscuits was a nice touch, found this the best place to socialise. Used taxis to get to old town and marina due to the hill, no issues with this as we were aware of the hilly location. Nice restaurants at both places.

We are on our last day of a fabulous two week stay at this hotel. The hotel is exactly as described on both the TUI and hotel websites. It is extremely clean, our room (106) and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are excellent, with the dinner package being superb value for money. The soups were my personal favourite. Indeed, I had 14 different soups over the two week stay. The hotel/pool vibe is quiet and all you can wish for, if you want two weeks peace and quiet, reading books in the sunshine. The honesty bar works very well, a nice bottle of wine with dinner, being very reasonably priced. The hotel is ideally located for evenings out to both the marina and the old town. We strongly recommend using Uber as its half the price of the town cabs. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. We can strongly recommend Cerro Da Marina.

Arriving at midnight we were delighted to have a tray of food /drinks waiting for us we were not expecting this , the hotel is lovely and the staff all very friendly , the food was amazing and the facilities didn't disappoint either ( although the mattress was abit hard ). The old town is a 15 min walk as is the beach but easy to navigate although steep going on the way back . And to top it off they gave us a tray to make sandwiches for the way home as flight was stupidly early Thankyou to all at cerro da marina See you again soon
