We stayed here in September, the pros are the beach bar views and it being so closely located to the beach. Breakfast is average, the cooked breakfast does not look overly appealing so we stuck to toast. The beach bar does serve waffles, crepes and breakfasts so we tried to go here when they opened at 10am but were told they don’t serve food when they open which we found bizarre ?????? We didn’t see many staff, the beach bar staff are great and worked so hard to make it a great experience. We did attempt to go to the pool bar but were confronted by a staff member who was extremely rude, we told him we only speak English and he continued to talk in a different language to us. We felt extremely intimidated to enter the pool bar due to this man and we did end up just leaving which was sad as we were paying guests at the hotel. The room was ok and spacious but there was no safe to keep our money and passports. A few broken items in the room which is inline with the dated appearance of the hotel. The rest of the hotel was very dark and the main building didn’t have many lights. Nice for location and walking into the town but would stay elsewhere in future.

Myself and my partner arrived at this location last night. Reception not at all helpful and it took us a good 30 minutes to find our studio, as we were just handed a map and had to find our own way in the pitch dark. On arrival at our accommodation I was shocked it was horrendous. The smell of must hit you straight away, it was dingey, very dated and dirty. Bedding was stained, pillows were lumpy, bathroom needs a complete overall. The curtains were all stained and the balcony was like a box so small. Nothing at all like advertised. I asked to be moved but all they would offer was another studio which was worse than the 1st one. This place is no good if you have bad feet or knees as it is built around steep hills. We spent one night there without even unpacking and checked out at the reception and the lady was so rude on the reception she never even apologised and had a bad attitude. We are now in the Tropical Sol which is like a Palace compared to this place.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights at the beginning of September 2020. After booking the hotel based purely on location was left disheartened when I started reading the reviews. First impression was that the sea view apartment had decor but had everything that you could want. We had a nice balcony with a sea view, fridge, microwave and cooking facilities (which we never used). Beach bar served nice food, sandwiches burgers, salads etc. But a variety of lively bars/restaurants can be found in the old town about a 10/15 minutes walk away. The location was fantastic - 30 second walk from the beach. The hotel has sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach which were €4.50 a day to rent. The staff were friendly on arrival and helpful when booking an early morning taxi (4:00am) for our flight home. We had a pleasant experience here but it is a budget apartment and you get what you pay for.

Our room was a studio and for a 3* hotel this was not up to standards. The doors didn’t lock from the inside so it wasn’t very secure and our balcony doors didn’t even close properly, we had to get the maintenance team out on day 1! Our shower fell apart the first time we used it as it had clearly broken before and not been fixed properly. The rooms are located on a steep hill and quite spread out, the reception staff were in no way interested in showing us where to go to find our room, not a warm welcome at all. We also had ants in our room.. told reception and they said it’s ‘normal for the area’. Not impressed! Facilities in the room were terrible, we had to go out everyday to eat. Pleased we didn’t go AI as I dread to think what the restaurant looked like! Pool area was ok but could do with some cleaning and decorating as was scruffy. We tried the lunch restaurant once but the staff were so rude we didn’t go back. In all not a great stay, hotel needs serious update on the basics (bathrooms, in room kitchen, a GOOD CLEAN) and staff training for front of house and F&B as everyone was very rude, the housekeeping staff were the only ones to say hello

I have just returned from my stay at this hotel, and I must initially say I am a very well travelled individual. However, I have never experienced anything like this. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and going through a really tough time loosing family members and battling with my own health we decided to book a 'cheap get away' as soon as we could. Though I say cheap, we decided to spend a bit more by choosing this hotel which valued at approximately £100 a night and at a reasonable 3* standard. Upon arrival at the hotel, the reception staff were extremely rude and not accommodating what to ever. In fact, we didn't even get a 'hello' or a 'welcome to the hotel' we were simply given a map and told to find our own way to the room, lugging our cases in the heat and up and downhill. We had no information on where the facilities were, or even WIFI details (which a isn't free as per your website) Our room: Well, the rooms were vile. Not as advertised on your website. We had ants in our room which the hotel staff told us was 'normal', we did not have the rooms cleaned daily we had to request for cleaning, which when we did they never turned up. We had a women storm into our room one morning without even knocking, which invaded our personal space and made us feel uneasy, there were no facilities in the room no microwave or anything, we had holes in the main door of our room, no lock from the inside so did not feel safe at all, no WIFI, sticky floors, and the hygiene levels of the bathroom were disgusting. I understand we booked the basic room, but for a 3* there should be adhered to standards. I have stayed in better hostels! Another valid point is the hotel charges 15 euro to use the safe... 15 euros! The hotel: No entertainment as per your advertisement. Now I am fully aware there has been a pandemic, but I really would have thought the hotel would even more so go above and beyond to provide a excellent service, or in this matter even just a service! We also had lunch one day to treat ourselves as we were celebrating our anniversary, and I simply ordered a chicken, lettuce and mayonnaise sandwich which arrived late to my table (after everyone had eaten) then they got my order wrong THREE times by adding bacon instead of chicken. When I politely explained I ordered the chicken sandwich, the women rolled her eyes and then the waitress staff and chef were shouting at one another pointing to me and speaking in Portuguese, which again made me feel very uneasy.   All in all, the hotel is a complete fraud and nothing like it has been advertised. Even when checking out I handed my room key and simply got a 'bye' instead of 'thank you for staying' or just the usual check-out service you would expect, the staff were simple unable to do their jobs. I am just severely disappointed, and the whole experience which should have been a memorable one was memorable for the wrong reasons.

If you are arriving after the restaurant is closed the hotel should have arranged for a snack pack for you. Nothing much, just some sandwiches drink and fruit. It depends what time you are arriving, there is a restaurant right next to the hotel, not sure what time they close though. Old town is just a 5 min cab ride away and costs a couple of Euro, you will def find something open there for a bite to eat
