The resort is conveniently located not too far out of town. It was a long walk to Old Town and a quick trip by cab. Some units are in a great location surrounding the pools. Others are close to a noisy road. We stayed in 2 units because they made us change units after a week. The first unit was in a so-so location with not the most pleasant view. The unit was a little run down. It smelled and the blankets were stained. (The smell went away when we put the blankets outside and asked for replacements.) There were no towels in the unit. The second unit was at the edge of the resort next to a noisy road. They were able to accommodate our request to move, and we ended up with a very nice, newly remodeled unit by the pool. Still, the workmanship was not of good quality; the shutters were broken and the closed doors failed to shut. It took us 3 days to get extra towels as they only provided us with 2 bath towels (no hand towels.) When we checked in there was another couple asking about getting towels in their room. The restaurants by the pool are independently owned and the service was very good. Food quality just ok (except for breakfast which was great!) No WiFi in the rooms. WiFi available only by the pools. No fun to work on a lap top with the glare of the sun.

We found the unit we rented to be well-equipped and, once we figured out how to work the heating and A/C remote, very comfortable. The Village is quite large and spread out, and it took us a few twists and turns to be able to come and go reliably without resorting (pardon the pun) to the map. Signage in general could be improved. The onsite restaurant (O Pavilhao) was quite good for the dinner and breakfast we had there until we got local shopping for provisions under control. Since we were there after high season, the nearest pool was closed, though we understood there was another one we might have used if we weren't busy exploring the beautiful sights along the coast.

Property is in a great location. 5 minutes drive to beautiful beaches and restaurants on site are very good. Units need a lot of attention. Our 2 bedroom was old, ant infested with kitchen chairs that were falling apart and a washer that leaked so much we could not use it and a dryer that was inconsistently hot. They charge for everything. Charge for rental of room safe, charge for electricty for week (120Euros) and they have no pool towels unless you rent them for 2 Euros a day each. All of this needs to be better explained on the listing site

We had an enjoyable time at this property. Our room was a bit far away from the check in building, but we had a vehicle, so it did not matter to us. There was parking immediately in front of our suite, which was very convenient. We did not use the amenities, such as the pool or mini golf as we had a change of itinerary from when I first had booked a longer stay via exchange almost a year ago. I let them know of the earlier departure at check in and they pro-rated the additional fees for just the nights that we were going to be staying. (I did not ask or look into modifying the stay on RCI site as the change was in our plans, so it was nothing to do with them.)

Our room had items such as a corkscrew in it, but we had also packed one as perhaps not all do. We had already stopped for grocery items shortly after arriving in LIS as we also had to pick up a few immediate clothing and personal items with the luggage delay so we cannot comment on shopping in the immediate area. The stove was a little odd to get started, but just as I got in touch with someone at the front desk, we figured it out.

We already read to bring our own cleaning items such as for washing dishes (and would have had dishwasher tablets if our luggage had arrived with us). There is a laundry service on site, that is 'pay per pound' with a flat rate minimum for wash/dry or wash only. Since we had limited clothing with the delayed luggage, they were very accommodating in getting the batch washed and returned to us within a short time. If we had more time, apparently there are self-service places nearby.

Would stay here again.

We spent a week at Clube Albufeira Garden Village and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Unit 224. We had a 2 bed/2 bath apartment for the 2 of us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with all necessary pots/pans, dishes, etc. The apartment had a refrigerator, separate freezer, dishwasher, and stackable washer/dryer. We enjoyed the outside patio.
It is an easy 30-minute walk into Old Town Albufeira on the paved path away from the traffic. About halfway into town, you will find a Pingo Doce grocery store. Across the street from the entrance to the resort is Camping Albufeira. They had a wonderful family grocery store with a small restaurant. This was an easy option when we didn't want to walk to the Pingo Doce store.
Some suggestions: Bring a wine bottle opener, dishwasher pods, and laundry pods. We brought our own coffee, salt & pepper.
If you like to use a washcloth or a dishrag, bring those with you. They provide liquid dishwashing soap and a scrub sponge.
Thoroughly enjoyed eating at Casa Azul!
Probably a good idea to have a car to get to the other towns and Benagil Cave tour. You could make do with taxis, trains, and buses.

Not the happiest reception staff and then hit with a 100 euros a week surcharge and don't expect anything for this, no welcome pack and even had to wait until latre for towels, the bath matt arrieved 4 days later.
You need a car.
The one bed unit was large and the Kitchen and bathroom good.
But furniture old, and the bed was rock hard, had to get the mattress out for the bed settee and put it on top to be able to sleep.
The Pool is great and so are the guys attending, but if you want to be comfortable on the sun beds you have to pay 15euros a week each for the sun bed mattress. go to the chinese shop in Albufiera and buy 2 cheao lilos 6euros each to put on the beds.
The Restaurant O'Pavilhao is super .

Lovely complex set over a large hilly expanse 30 min walk north of the town. Apart-hotel extremely well equipped. Oven/microwave/toaster/kettle/coffee machine/juicer/ dushwasher/cutlery/tupperware/ pans/fridge/ac everything inc washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, wiping up cloths & dish cloths THE LOT! Pools are lovely but a bit cool 🥶 restaurants /cafes/ bars great. Small shop opposite entrance, over dual carriageway at camp site. Very well supplied supermarket on same side about 10 mins south via safe walkway parallel to dual carriageway. Bus leaves every 30 mins outside campsite into town. €1.90. Getting back was a bit trickier so we got cab €5. Albufiera not steeped in history/culture. 50 year old tourist resort full of bars and shops selling the usual seaside stuff. 😕 Weather at end if Sept was sunny 😎 27’ every day with a light breeze & no mozzies!!! Hotel would do everyone a favour if they had golf buggies to use. Recommend a trip to see caves & dolphins & trip around the resort in a tuk tuk or jeep to get your bearings on day 1. Spent no time on beautiful beaches as its not my thing - prefer poolside but beaches look wonderful.

Just back from a lovely week at Clube Alburfeira with my husband and 3 kids. Apartment was lovely and really spacious, we stayed in a superior room which had 2 twin bedrooms and there was a pullout bed under the sofa in the lounge for my third child (which we put in one of the twin rooms) and there were 2 bathrooms. Spacious balcony and fully equipped kitchen. Also washing machine, dishwasher and dryer.

The furniture was quite stained and a bit dated but that was fine with us, because we have kids so it took the pressure off having to keep it immaculate!

There was a lot of walking required and many steps, and in hindsight a car would have been helpful. This wouldn’t be suitable for people with mobility issues. A porter drove us up to our apartment with our suitcases when we arrived.

We loved the snack bars, restaurant and choice of 4 pools. The only thing I would have appreciated was more vegan / dairy free choice as my daughter has a dairy intolerance. No dairy-free cheese alternative for pizza and no dairy free ice cream, apart from a couple of lollies. A little disappointing in this day and age but didn’t ruin the holiday.

The complex is about half hour walk from Old Town and marina which, in the heat, my children found a bit much so we got a cab some days which cost approx 9€ for a big taxi fitting all 5 of us (each way).

We made use of the small supermarket across the road. Lidl isn’t too far away.

Overall, we had a great break and I would recommend it for families, especially if you have a car.

This resort was well taken care of and had numerous pools if you just want to stay there, tho the pools were a bit cool for us in November. The unit was sparsely equipped - just the basic utensils, dishes and no condiments at all - probably due to Covid restrictions - so plan to take/get some salt & pepper, paper towels, laundry and dishwasher supplies. If you like to travel around the area, the bus stop is just across the main road for only 1.40 euro to the old town or you can take a 20 min. walk through a park to get there. Lots of options for restaurants there and numerous stores for your souvenir buys. A beautiful beach, elevator and escalator to explore as well. We had no car, but train and bus options to visit other areas was easy to access via taxi and the furthest places were only 1 1/2 hr away by train. Lots of historic places to see.

Overall we had a great time, so
The Pros: A really nice complex really well kept and having 4 pools is a definite bonus, it was never too busy, and the food in what we called the main restaurant O Pavillio (sorry not sure how to spell) was fantastic.
The cons:
room was basic (we had 2 bed superior) we could not get internet in our apartment.
the choice of TV channels were terrible the kids got bored so quickly in the evening we stayed in and cooked. they are noisy (people moving chairs in the middle of the night) reception staff over worked so very grumpy we had to wait a long time every time we needed something, very hilly ( I have a poor knee)
this was the first time we stayed and we would be back with the option of booking privately maybe or somewhere else

I think one had more modern decor than the other from what I could tell when we booked. If you go on the hotels actual website you can see all the different types of rooms they have and photos of them all.
