We booked for a cheap week and have just come home. First impressions were good transfer from Faro airport took less than 30 minutes. The hotel is dated as stated in previous reviews and the accommodation is in need of refurbishment but the villa we were in was kept spotlessly clean every day and fresh towels if required you just...

The studio apartments were like prison cells, I refused to stay in the one I was allocated. I was then given a bungalow, this was a death trap I had an electric shock turning off the over head light, the television hissed because it was damp and the electric point in the kitchen was loose on the wall. The staff...

Having read many reviews before departure, I was a little anxious. Upon evening arrival at the hotel to check-in my friend and I were dealt with efficiently and promptly. We had to walk the length of the complex to reach our studio, but it was well-lit. We were on the first floor of one of the two "tower-blocks" which I...

We stayed at the Algarve Gardens 14-17 october - the apartments are old, tired, dated and in need of rennovation - the beds were hard - pillows lumpy - electrics were definitely out of this world. We had to use all facilities at the Alfamar hotel - to be fair it is end of season - but we werent advised...

I booked a 'bungalow' in the gardens which turned out to have stairs to the bed and bathrooms. As a disabled person this was hardly ideal. The pathways around the gardens are weed strewn and broken in parts so not suitable for anyone with compromised mobility. The bungalow itself was spotlessly clean on arrival and was serviced every day. Yes,...

We stayed in the studios of Algarve Gardens, these are not suitable for older people and dangerous for children. There are no lifts just four flights of marble stairs. However, they were clean and were cleaned every day. We were half board and had a bit of a trek up to the Alfamar where we are and could use the...

A quiet place at mid September. We researched properly so we knew we had booked a duplex apartment or bungalow ( they call it a Villa!) and not the Apartment blocks. Our end row bungalow was lovely with a sun roof and two sun terrace patio front and back. Yes, its needing a paintover and it trends from the nineties...

When I was booking (with onthebeach.co.uk) it showed separate villas . If you book the cheapest ones, you actually get put in a "tower block" of apartments (see picture(s) ) They aren't bad, but can be very noisy late at night, from the other tenants, not from street noise ect. Daily housekeeping is good, the rooms are dated but ok....
