Located in the heart of the city, 3HB Faro is the first 5-star hotel in the city of Faro, standing out for its urban chic style, cozy atmosphere and intuitive service. In the architecture of the hotel, in charge of the architect Miguel Abreu, the inspiration in the regional culture of the Algarve is evident, in a perfect balance between the classic and the contemporary. Something that is also reflected in the 104 rooms where the design and decoration were thought out in detail by the renowned interior designer Paulo Lobo. The hotel also has 2 restaurants - the Hábito located on the rooftop and the Forno Nero next to the traditional shopping street of Faro - SPA and gym, meeting rooms and a rooftop with infinity pool from which you can contemplate the city and the stunning Ria Formosa. Located just 15 minutes from Faro International Airport, it enjoys a privileged location to explore the Algarve region.

We stayed for a week at the end of November and were very pleased that we chose this hotel. The breakfast was just perfect for us, great coffee, fresh juices, amazing buffet choice and a la carte options. Plenty of friendly staff around providing excellent service.
We made good use of the pool and spa area, as well as the sun bathing area on the roof terrace (but too cold to use that pool). We enjoyed our meal in the Italian restaurant one evening but were a little disappointed with the overpriced and only average quality cocktails on the roof terrace, also let down by poor service up there that night.
Reception staff were helpful and friendly, including the concierge service. Everywhere was very clean and well looked after. Location suited us well for visiting a range of restaurants in the evening in different directions.
One slight issue was that the room was often too warm and we couldn't use the air con to lower it. We checked with reception and were told that our room was part of a grouping/circuit of 4 rooms where the temperature was centrally controlled. They then made an adjustment from reception to allow us to cool our room down but this obviously meant that the 3 other rooms were also cooled down. The next day the temperature went back up and we lost control again, so another call to reception! Never stayed in a hotel before where we had to ask reception if we could use the air con. They were very apologetic but not sure if this is a temporary thing or an inherent design problem. Also, the lighting is vastly over-complicated and frustrating with literally dozens of switches and a mind-blowing choice of options. Felt like the system was not designed with any real thought to guests staying for a few nights and wanting simplicity. These are minor, quirky issues so don't be put off.
Would definitely stay in a 3HB hotel again!

Dear JackieRMark, We couldn't be happier with your review about our hotel. It’s great to know that you enjoyed the variety of our breakfast, the friendliness and helpfulness of our staff, as well as our pool area. On behalf of the whole team, thank you very much for recognising our work and dedication. Regarding the operation of the air conditioning, as indicated by our team at the hotel, the temperature is controlled individually in each room, but the cold/hot system is common. In this sense, we really apologize for any difficulty experienced in the use of the air conditioning and the light switches. In addition to all this, knowing that you intend to return is the best feedback we could wish for. It would be a pleasure to welcome you again at 3HB Faro. See you soon. The 3HB Hotels team

We stayed in the 3HB Faro from August 7th to 11th. They had arranged a pickup from the airport which is about 10 mins away for EUR21.
We were greeted warmly on our very late arrival. Our room was upgraded to a suite, which pleased our daughter no end (got her own separate room within the room), therefore two balconies. This hotel only opened in July 2021 (was previously a shopping centre) so it looks very new and relatively unscathed by guests. Our room looked like it had never been visited. Luxurious, comfortable, well equipped, no outside noise....we even had lavender growing adjacent to our balcony. Location is perfect for the centre of Faro and marina and about 7 mins walk from the ferry port. We found the staff to be warm and friendly throughout, without exception.
The rooftop pool & bar is perhaps a little bit 'busy' but there is limited space as, well, it's a rooftop. The entire area (including the pool) is immaculate and the service provided is excellent. Food and drinks are available at hotel prices, so set your levels of expectation. Didn't have time to visit the indoor pool unfortunately.
Breakfast is fabulous - there's a massive selection, continental style. If you want a cooked breakfast from the menu (eggs benedict, etc), it will set you back EUR20 for an adult.
If you don't like planes or aircraft noise, Faro may not be your best choice. Planes are landing frequently (we are not talking jumbo jets here, so not so loud), but it's barely noticeable after a while. Seems the sound gets absorbed by the nature reserve out in the bay. This did not impede our stay at the 3HB Faro in any way.
We did have one evening dinner in the rooftop restaurant, which was good, but not extraordinary. There are plenty of choices within easy walking distance.
As far as Faro is concerned, it's a picturesque town which has obviously expanded. Not really a huge list of activities in the town itself (aside from walking/eating/shopping) as most are focused on taking some kind of excursion on water.
Conclusively, I and my family would definitely recommend the 3HB Faro. My only observation was that our room had so many switches (lights, drapes, night lights) that we occasionally plunged the room into darkness when someone was in the shower. I must also mention that the wi-fi at the 3HB was fast and stable, kind of what you would expect at a hotel of this quality.

We booked this hotel on a last minute deal and we didn’t do much research. Little did we know we had booked probably the best 5 star hotel we have ever stayed in. Whilst we were there, we were told that the hotel is still going through its “soft opening” as it had just opened. Everything is obviously brand new, the standard and quality of the rooms is especially impressive, they have done a lot of nice finishing touches such as automatic curtains etc. It really makes you feel like you are staying in luxury. The pool (on the top floor) is a bit small but equally it serves a purpose. The included breakfast was absolutely excellent and we also had lunch at the hotel which was an extremely high standard, reasonably priced too. The only minor criticism I could give is sometimes the staff were very slow at coming to take orders for food / drink. The hotel also had a member of staff dedicated to helping customers whilst we were there (organising activities etc). She was called Ana, she was absolutely fantastic and really went out of her way to give us tips and make sure our stay in Portugal was as good as possible.

Dear Sam A., It’s amazing to read your review about our hotel and our Hábito restaurant. We are very happy to know that you enjoyed so much our rooms, our facilities and our breakfast, Thank you very much for recognizing our work and dedication. During his stay, the hotel was in a "soft opening period", so some details in the service were not yet full operation. We booked the 3HB Faro for a last minute short break and really lucked out with our choice. I don't have one bad thing to say about the hotel or the staff.

The hotel is new and is in pristine condition, with the entrance located just off the pedestrian thoroughfare. The decor is classy and modern and the hallways and bedrooms are fitted with plush cream carpets. There is plenty of storage, huge comfortable beds and the bathroom is large and equipped with robes, slippers, luxury towels and Molton Brown toiletries and amenities. There is a lovely infinity pool with loungers and chairs. As others have said, it can get busy but there is another area on the rooftop with reclining cushioned chairs so you will never be short of somewhere to relax when it's sunny. There is a pleasant view from the roof towards the sea across the terracotta tiled roofs and it's a lovely area to sit in the evening with a cocktail after the sun goes down.

What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. The welcome and service is exceptional and every need is anticipated. The staff are attentive without being intrusive and we were treated to a first class service from front of house, cleaning and maintenance staff, to pool bar and restaurants. We had breakfast each morning at the hotel which was wonderful and dined at Forno Nero, the ground floor restaurant, due to the quality of the food and the service.

It is difficult to single out a particular member of staff as they all went above and beyond to ensure our stay was faultless, however, Miguel and Ruben provided us with an exceptional service and friendly welcome at breakfast each morning and around the pool.

We will definitely return to the 3HB Faro in the future to enjoy the wonderful facilities, beautiful rooms and environment and exceptional service.

Just for transparency we were kindly offered a free upgrade and late checkout by 3HB Faro.

3HB Faro definitely delivers a 5 star experience. Nestled conveniently in Faro town centre with reach of the Old Town, the brand-new hotel offers sleek luxury with modern rooms, a fantastic rooftop with pool and spa.

My room was spacious, with incredibly comfortable beds and a gorgeous bathroom. The room has the ability to have just some ambient lighting on, which helped to set a relaxed mood in the morning and at night. The shower was fantastic, with a rainfall head, nice smelling shower products, a ‘drainless’ shower floor, and a door which allowed easy access to towels when finished. All small touches that really make a difference.

I also want to take this moment to point out the attention to detail of the cleaning staff. I came back to realise they had covered an unfinished drink with a coaster, lined up our shoes, and placed our bottles in the mini fridge. They clearly care, and don’t just see room service as something to get out of the way!

The spa is fantastic for being included in the room price. At some hotels this is a paid extra. The sauna was good, and so was the pool with a variety of showers and jacuzzi options to play around with. The only slight disappointment was the steam room, which unfortunately just didn’t get steamy/misty/foggy as one would hope, but this can be overlooked as it was only just fixed and is probably going to be calibrated.

The rooftop is fantastic, its where you have breakfast and is a great place to start your day in the sunshine, the loungers are great and the pool overlooks Faro.

I would highly recommend 3HB Faro. The staff are brilliant, and I can’t wait to visit the rest of their concept hotels once they open.

Impressive and stylish inside and out, this is easily the best hotel in Faro. It’s perfectly located near shops, restaurants and the old town and a cheap Uber ride from the airport and to the Forum and MAR shopping malls. The roof terrace and pool area is beautifully furnished with plenty of seating to relax in the sun (not that there was much in early April!). The spa never felt too busy though I found the timed entry to the sauna and steam room a bit pointless and the rules should have simply been ‘go in if it’s empty’. We were kindly upgraded to a superior room on arrival which was really spacious with molton brown toiletries and complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar refreshed daily. As comfy as the pillows look they’re not the best for sleeping on so I requested a firmer pillow with neck support and was so pleased that they were able to provide one. My only criticism would be that I found the room to be quite cold and the heating was fixed to not exceed a certain temperature so I had to sleep with 2 blankets on top of the duvet. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with lots of choice, though I found the poached eggs were undercooked on two occasions where the whites were still clear and runny. We were able to order a breakfast box to take away on the last morning due to an early flight which was just as tasty and nicely packaged so we didn’t feel like we missed out. We also had a nice meal at their restaurant Forno Nero which had a great menu and was reasonably priced. All staff were really friendly and I’d feel totally safe and happy to stay here on my own - just hoping for some sun next time!

Stayed for 5 nights in a superior plus room. The hotel is in an excellent position in the pedestrianised part of the town. It is a short walk to marina, bus and train station plus small boats out to beach and islands. Although in the town centre there is little noise as set back from street.
The minute you walk into the building the staff greet you and are very friendly and helpful. The very spacious room was well appointed and once we got the hang of the fancy electrics for lights , curtains etc it was a joy to stay in. It had a large bathroom with huge shower.
The fridge was topped up each day with bottled water and soft drinks. We appreciated the kettle and coffee machine provided.
The roof top pool and open area allowed views of sea and marina. As we had some wet days we took advantage of the indoor spa pool. I was impressed that both pools were supervised by helpful staff who were life guards and provided towels.
The breakfast included in our rate was superb, in addition to regular coffee they would make any specialty coffee to order. The food on offer was comprehensive from continental breakfast and pastries to full cooked breakfast buffet. In addition eggs, pancakes etc could be ordered fresh cooked.
We traveled by taxi from airport to hotel. As an early departure on return we used hotel transfer which was 19 Euro in an immaculate Mercedes minibus.
One minor niggle was we asked for a quiet room, however our room was on 3rd floor below rooftop dining room around 11.30 each night we could hear tables/chairs being moved around above us as they were clearing up.
What makes the hotel apart from high quality building and food is the staff who are plentiful and always friendly and helpful

Stayed here for a week with my partner. The hotel is amazing, beautifully decorated, I literally have no negatives at all.
Staff were really helpful and friendly, room was large with a very large flat screen tv, espresso machine, blue tooth speaker, sofa and a really comfortable bed. Free bottles of water were supplied every day and the cleaners came twice every day and kept the horel spotless. The infinity pool on the roof is wonderful, and so is the indoor pool with sauna and turkish bath and jacuzzi which were all free to use. Breakfast was lovely - they served hot drinks, juice and omlettes, pancakes and eggs benedict and you could help yourself to fruit, cereals, toast, croissants and the obligitory portugese custard tarts. We didnt try the restaurant although we spent a couple of evenings on the rooftop at the firepit with drinks and cocktails.
Faro is lovely, very untouristy and the hotel is only a walk away from lots of shops, restaurants and bars. We took a boat trip to see ria formosa and the bus to praia faro beach which were both worth visting. Can't wait to come back

We stopped at this Hotel from the 18th to 22th July 2022 we booked the room with flight through Jet2 flying from Birmingham airport

The Hotel is well placed in a good location, from the airport we had a private pickup arranged through Jet2 transfer time about 15-minutes.

Everything in the area is clean, and the Hotel is well placed for the centre which is just a short walking distance from the all the main attractions and the marina in Faro, there are plenty of places to eat and drink.

We had room 322 on the 3rd floor, the room was spectacular, the bathroom was large and well equipped with Molton Brown accessories.

The room itself was very comfortable with a large bed, even the curtains were electrically operated to open and close, there is a safe in the room and plenty of storage.

The breakfast at the hotel was good and plentiful, we had an evening meal in the Restaurant to celebrate out 20th Wedding anniversary, and the food and service by their staff was spectacular, thank you to all for making out meal so memorable.

If I had to single out one really good point about this Hotel it would be its staff who were always polite and very helpful, who went out their way to help and advise, I cannot thank them all enough for making our stay so memorable.

I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone wishing to visit Faro and who is looking for a Hotel close to the Centre

Excellent hotel. Room fabulous. Lovely large balcony. What really made it unusual and special was the Nespresso coffee in the room replenished and free of charge. Also large bottle water and fridge with cokes, large sparkling and still waters- all complimentary!
Breakfast fabulous and pool area lovely. Spa pool also available. Again, water offered there also and helpful staff. Particular mention to Ana - front of house - who went to great lengths to recommend restaurants for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Ate in the hotel Italian restaurant which was lovely. Generally found that 3 days enough to see Faro as shopping/sites around hotel limited. Travelled to Forum Algarve and Mar Shopping centres . (€7 & €17 by taxi) Got hotel transfers from airport which were expensive at €20 each way but suited us. If staying in Faro would not hesitate to recommend .
