Excellent location and golf course. Very friendly and efficient staff. Food and drink not overpriced with a good selection to choose from. Holes vary in challenges and some of the views are exceptional.

Boavista resort is a 10 minute drive from Lagos town centre and the marina. There are lots of beaches within half hour drive. The resort is maintained very well. We stayed in a townhouse for a week. Bedrooms, living room, dining space and kitchen - everything was very clean when we arrived. House keeping was done every day. Towels were changed when needed. The resort facilities included a gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna and steam room. We used all of them apart from the outdoor pools. There are 2 restaurants inside the resort but we didn't use any of them. The staff everywhere are very polite and helpful. The people at reception gave us very good tips on sight seeing, planning for the day and restaurants.

I would love to be able to swear about my experience but trip advisor will take it down so I’ll refrain. Where do I start? The driving range is just strange, no drivers allowed?! I’m on holiday in Lagos and have played Espiche a few times so I was expecting the same warm welcome, no chance! I turned up alone, as I have done many times at espiche, never a problem. I asked the lady in the pro shop could I go out alone? No problem she said as she handed me the card machine for €67. When I get to the first tee I’m told I can’t go out alone; this information would have been nice to know before I parted with my money and time. The starter would not let me out unless I went with a three ball. Now I don’t speak Portuguese or German (I have nothing against either) but the thought of spending four hours with people I don’t know or can’t talk to did not appeal and I doubt it appealed to them either. After all, they have turned up as a three ball and should be allowed to enjoy their own company as they had planned. I don’t expect the course to myself and if you’re going to force people together why give everyone who turns up their own buggy ..££ four golfers don’t need 3 buggys! Going by the amount of houses they have built all over the course it is obviously all about the money. After reading other reviews, I have to agree. The clubhouse is soulless, staff are disinterested and the beer is off. Back to Espiche for me!

We recently stayed in an apartment at Boavista for one week having stayed in numerous properties across the Lagos and Porto de Mos areas over many years. I shan't comment much on the apartment as it was a private rental booked with the owner via VRBO other than to say it was lovely and overlooked the 16th hole in Lakeview Village (presumably one of the original early/mid-2000's-build apartments). We checked in on a Sunday which meant having to go to a room with safes in to access the keys and return the next day to complete the check-in process when it was staffed - worth bearing in mind if you're checking in over a weekend and have a busy itinerary planned. The resort itself is quite hilly in parts, but it's very well kept by the grounds staff and is pedestrian-friendly, though maybe not ideal if you can't walk far when you take hills and distances to/from facilities into account. The pool area in the Lakeview Village was large and clean, albeit not heated which would have been useful given October is the time of year where warm days are becoming marginal and rare if cloudy/windy. There's also building work going on at the top of the hill and towards the southern part of the resort. We didn't eat in the Clubhouse, but my parents ate lunch in the Bela Colina restaurant and weren't that impressed with it. We didn't use the indoor pool, spa and gym. We didn't play golf there, but one observation from our apartment near the 16th hole is that the fairways looked patchy in places and both the bunkers and the 16th green were prone to flooding if it rained. Can't comment on the states of the other holes, but given the competition you may expect it to be a bit better. The resort itself is located midway between Lagos and Praia da Luz, with the beach at Porto de Mos closer still 5-10 minutes drive away. Taxi's to the centre of Lagos are approximately €7-€12 one way depending on the time of day, whereabouts you're located in Boavista, passenger numbers and vehicle (minivan's charge more than cars). You will need a car/taxi to the nearest supermarket (Intermarche in Lagos is the closest) and I wasn't aware of a convenience store on-site. All in all, it's an isolated resort, so you definitely need to take its location into account as it could either be your thing or not. Boavista is a nice resort that met expectations. We would consider staying here again in the future.

Hi, sorry for the late answer. well we rented a car by -rent a car- starting on the airport of Faro. because the golfresort is higher situated than Lagos and by car ca. 10 min to the city and harbour. besides that the app.complex is ca. 1 km from the entrance. so I would recommend carhire.
