I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. The villa's are lovely and private. It is the perfect place to escape. Located in between Porto and Lisbon for day trips and only 30 minutes from Coimbra and the beach. The highlight of our stay was dining at "The Kitchen" at Villa Pedra. Marta is lovely to speak to...

Dear Aubrey & Christopher, Thank you for this kind review! We are very happy to hear that you loved everything about our village, the Walnut-Tree House in which you stayed (thank you for the photos) and Marta's food. This is definitely the best reward we can have for our daily work and effort! Thank you for your sympathy all the...

What a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful villa (very clean!) in a peaceful enviroment. We enjoyed it very much. In the near enviroment there is not a lot to do. However, with a car Coimbra and even the beach is rather close. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and Sara is a great host!

I realy recommend this splendid hotel. All the people were extremely warm and friendly. Nothing was too much to give you a home-feeling, with a service that makes every gest feeling very special. Wonderful stay in a beautiful location with amazing staff. Our Medlar-Tree House was very spacious for the family with plenty of room outside for the kids to play. We loved everything about the stay, if you want peace and quiet, then this is the place and the attention to detail is excellent. Everything from the décor to the fresh fruit,...

We loved our self-catering cottage ( Cherry Tree house) at Villa Pedra. Everything was extremely well done - from the fresh bread each morning on the door to the well executed dinners by Marta and her staff. It is very relaxing - you can take walks in the countryside, visit the nearby university town of Coimbra or head to the...

My husband and I spent a week at Villa Pedra in April/May 2016. We loved absolutely everything about it. We stayed in the school house (girls). It is big bright airy and has great vintage furniture and thematic decoration of anatomy charts and some original artwork by Manuel. The school even retains its original stone chalkboard! There is a sizeable...

Just a small note to say we had a wonderful time a Villa Pedra and the hotel/villas filled our expectations. Our trip was a romantic anniversary trip. The region, the hotel, the food, the staff, and attention to detail all made our trip very special. It´s not often we get a chance to take a break, and when we do,...

As excited as we were by Trip Advisor reviews, the unique experience is not something that can easily be captured by words or photos. You are wrapped in the Villa Pedra dream -- the architecture, the art that fills the houses, the incredible views, the food, and the unforgettable staff (Marta and Manuel are helpful and charming). Stay as many...

Villa Pedra lived up to all our expectations. It was super. Our Cherry Tree cottage was large, clean and beautifully furnished. Sitting on the balcony out of our bedroom looking over the countryside was delightful. Dining at the restaurant was a romantic treat, the decor was stunning, and Marta the chef was natural and very charming. The food was also...

We stayed in a wonderful small boutique hotel in Mendoza a few years ago that was the best place ever... until now. Villa Pedra now takes top honors. Victor greeted us and was instantly a good friend. Our only regret was that the restaurant was closed our first night. The next night we had the restaurant to ourselves. Marta treated...
