Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff at the Oslo hotel which handles the check in and checkout process are super friendly and helpful. They allowed us to go up to their Terrace for the best view of historic center. We had a problem with room key code but they sent staff to fix it for us. The location is great and close to all major sites. The couch in living area is dated. Only stayed 1 night so we didn’t use the kitchenette which appears to be nicely equipped. The only downside is we had luggage so climbing the flight of stairs was tough. On departure, the cleaning staff offered to help carry luggage down the flight of stairs. They allowed us to keep luggage at hotel after checkout until we were ready to leave.

The place belongs to Oslo hotel so you need to check in with them, basically you have a card with the instructions on it, after it’s easy, they will invite to see the place from its terrace could not go cuz was tired, next time for sure :) Will do , the accommodation it’s exceptional every spot in the one bed flat is well done, hot water, well equipped kitchen, comfy and huge bed, amenities and lots of towels, the deco is also great vintage kinda thing, the location is another plus I definitely will stay with them once back in Coimbra, thanks for the kind service.

This place is well located for Coimbra train station, especially if you have heavy luggage and don’t fancy an uphill walk. There are a few stairs to negotiate inside the building but we were shown up to our little loft by a staff member from the Oslo Hotel (who manage this place). The Oslo Hotel staff (where you pick up the key)were excellent and suggested we visit the roof of the Oslo Hotel with it’s fabulous city views to wait for the room to be ready. When my husband left his jacket and keys in the room they rang us straight away and organised for the jacket to be posted back to us and it arrived two days later! The room itself was small with a hidden mini kitchen and bathroom below the mezzanine bedroom - an imaginative use of space. No eye level windows or a view. TV had multiple channels and wifi was v good. A better settee would have increased comfort levels.

Pros were location, access to the lovely rooftop bar at sister property Hotel Oslo, cool design vibe, good water pressure in shower. Cons: hard to find, not accessible by car, no lift and lots of stairs. The bed was OK but the drafty window next to it made our necks sore by morning. Maybe other rooms are better, we had room 5. Space a bit cramped with small kitchen and sitting area.

Clean, spacious, centrally-located. Excellent for the price. Needed some different more comfortable furniture, particularly the couch and chairs. Kitchenette was great, bathroom spacious, good shower with consistently hot water. Bed loft was very comfortable and had a firm mattress.

Stayed here three nights whilst visiting Coimbra. Booked the duplex but were upgraded to the suite. Fantastic clean and very large apartment. Fully equipped kitchen if you need it. Eclectic furniture and wall decoration add to the charm. Staff at hotel Oslo where you check in and out were friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic walking distance to all the major buildings etc, a few hundred yards from great restaurant choice. Brilliant

Great little apartments. Very clean with good service for towels and cleaning. Clever design for the small space and lots of vintage touches. Stayed 4 nights and the location was perfect. It made it very easy visit the tourist sites and go out at night. Other reviews have mentioned the noise and it was true but kinda what you expect in a city. Would recommend and go back.
