I can't say enough good things about the Somewhere Estoril Guesthouse. All areas of the hotel are beautifully furnished, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The bed was one of the comfiest I've slept on and the breakfast was delicious. Best of all are the staff, they are so friendly and polite, and they made our stay a real pleasure. The hotel itself is just a short walk from Estoril train station, and we were able to easily order an Uber for visiting other areas. There's also a lot of great bars and restaurants within walking distance, and getting to Cascais is a lovely walk along the seafront.
We had the most fantastic fortune of staying at Somewhere Guesthouse for our Summer Break this year. It is a fantastic location, quiet, only a couple of minutes from the train station, and the bus is around the corner. The facilities were excellent, lovely modern clean rooms, serviced daily, good air conditioning, wifi, great shower, gorgeous balcony, nice lounge area, bar service, pristine pool and surroundings. Parking for 4 cars. But let me tell you about the staff and customer service here... They are the BEST!! We travel a good bit with work, and I have NEVER stayed anywhere that was so inclusive of my needs. I am seriously gluten intolerant, which can be a hassle at breakfast in so many, many hotels and guesthouses. At Somewhere Estoril, they really went above and beyond the call of duty, and provided me with the best gluten free food selection I have ever received outside my home. These people genuinely care. I wish I could thank you all by name, you were so warm, friendly, and hospitable. You made our holiday. A massive thank you, I cannot rate you & the Guesthouse highly enough. X…
Just spent four lovely nights at the Somewhere Estoril Guesthouse and can honestly say we would definitely return - it is a hidden gem, spotlessly clean, modern, friendly and in a perfect location to get around. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Rooms are spacious with modern decor, the air con is excellent too. The train station is a five minute walk away and trains to Lisbon & Belém don’t take long to get to. You can walk to Cascais beach and find lovely restaurants and shops. You can also take a bus from outside the train station to Sintra (a must) and definitely visit Quinta da Regularia. Lisbon overall is very well priced and probably cheaper than most tourist destinations. Travelling around the area using trains, buses and Uber's Is really cheap and reliable. The Oceanarium was also reasonably priced and a great afternoon out.…
I stayed here for four nights as part of a work trip and loved it. In a place that seems to be dominated by larger hotels, this is a little piece of boutique bliss. The photos made it look a bit run down but in actual fact, it has lovely, modern furnishings and well-sized rooms. I found the staff incredibly helpful and responsive. I don’t get the criticism of the breakfast in other reviews - I found it better than what you would get in many European hotels - fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, meats, sourdough, pastries, eggs cooked to order. Coffee is only filter coffee but that’s pretty common. It is 3 minutes walk from the Convention Centre so perfect if you are there for a conference. Also a very short walk to the beach, and there’s a great little deli a few steps down the road.…
Felt like a nice place, cool for transit staying, great reception area and pool. Felt a bit small and the room was a bit humid. Breakfast was ok but few ingredients. Coffee options could be better. Great selection of furniture. Good for business trips, not amazing place for tourism.
