My husband and I loved our stay at Casa do Barrio. The staff was great and gave us tons of recommendations on things to do and places to eat in Lisbon. One of our favourite meals in Lisbon was at Zapata a nearby local restaurant that they recommended to us.

I highly recommend staying at Casa do Bairro. It will feel like home, while staying in beautiful Lisbon. The B&B is in a central location about 12-13 minutes walk from Baixa-Chiado metro station, but it is in a tiny quiet street near Rua Santa Catarina. I stayed in room 102 at the ground floor. The room was not big, but...

An out of the way location in the middle of the city the staff were very welcoming and courteous. A local restaurant was booked for us and transfers from the airport helped to make everything go really smoothly on our first night. The room was really good and quiet with a lovely comfortable bed. Would definitely want to use this...

This was our first visit to Casa do Barrio, though we have had great stays at other Shiadu properties. We loved that the hotel is out of the way - just off a quiet street, while being in a great central location. They offer transfer service from the airport, which we took advantage of. I would highly recommend this as,...

We were in the family room, which was nice (though the bathroom could have done with a working lock); large enough and comfortable with good views out to the river. The highlight was the excellent staff who were always willing to help with tips for travelling and ideas for sightseeing. Breakfast was wholesome and good, they even made us a...

I booked this hotel for our last night in Lisbon after coming back from Sintra. Having read the other reviews, I wanted so much to love this hotel, but I ended up being disappointed. Location - The area directly surrounding the hotel didn't feel safe. I wouldn't want to walk around there after dark. Also, to get to the main...

Won't reiterate what everyone else has said about location, cleanliness etc but just wanted to say that we received probably the best introduction to Lisbon, its sights, public transport etc from Bruno at reception, that we have ever had on any trip anywhere. He spent ages with us showing us on a large free map where to visit and how...

Very nice room accommodations with very comfortable bed and interesting art on walls. While the breakfast room was somewhat pedestrian, the breakfast itself with very good and the staff was wonderfully helpful.

It took us a while to find it as it is on a small street that is maybe only 20 yards long, we didn't have GPS, and took Metro from the airport. Once found, we loved it! All staff members were super helpful, room was spotless and well appointed, breakfast was excellent, and location was convenient for getting to most...

This guesthouse is conveniently located and within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. Several days prior to our arrival, we received an email with an offer to be met at the airport and transported by car to the guesthouse. This was 25 Euros well spent! Although public transportation options were included in this email, after more than 30 hours...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Shiadu Boutique Guesthouses started in 2007 and is a trademark for "refined" guesthouses, combining the provision of comfort and elegance with a customer service completely dedicated to each of its customers. The Casa do Bairro by Shaidu, only a 5-minute walk away from Chiado, Bairro Alto and the No. 28 Cable Car to Alfama, opened in the spring of 2009. It was in that major apartment complex, with its 11 double, triple and family-sized suites, that our first guests got a taste of our very characteristic Lisboan hospitality. ... more   less
