I stayed at The Lisbonaire Apartments very soon after they opened in 2011, and was impressed with the hip styling, comfortable spaces and great location... five years later I'm still impressed. The concept of promoting local graphic designers and artists is still a great idea and the quality of design is such that it hasn't dated and remains relevant. On...

The Lisbonaire Apartments exceeded our expectations. The apartment was large, spacious, and had high ceilings. It was a very comfortable stay. Even the single beds were very comfortable. Additionally, the apartment was very clean and well taken care of. The location was also excellent and close to train station, attractions, restaurants...etc. I would recommend the Lisbonaire Apartments to families, couples,...

Good location, short walk (but uphill) to Bairro Alto, and Rossio station. A spacious apartment. I brought my own washing powder, and made use of the washing machine inside the apartment The check-in/out process was super easy. We were given two door codes which we used to enter the apartment complex and our apartment. My only complaint would perhaps be...

Well located and spacious apartment. Clean and kitchen well equipped. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a basement which has pool, table tennis and an honesty bar which we found useful.

What a pleasant surprise arriving in this modern location right in the center of the city. Very neat, spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean apartment decorated in an original, modern design. Fully equipped kitchen: espresso machine, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine… Very friendly, helpful young gentlemen at the reception, promptly responding to requests. Towels and bed linen changed at least every two days....

Great stay in these apartments. Location is very good you are right in the centre of everything and able to walk almost everywhere. Apartments were very clean and well equipped. Only negative was the guy at reception wasnt very forthcoming with information on the area and there wasnt always someone at reception when we wanted to ask for something. Perhaps...

It's much like a loft! When we walked in, the dining area and bedroom shared the same space separated by a brick pillar. The bathroom and kitchen were in separate rooms off of the dining/bedroom space. The kitchen was large with a stove, mini fridge, a microwave, and dishes to use. I found the the bed to be very comfortable...

Selected on a last minute need for a roomfor 3 it proved to be a fantastic choice. Parking on site thankfully a small car and it was close to all in Lisbon. Great management with good suggestions. Large rooms, top terrace for a drink. Highly recommend.

The apartments are perfect and worked very well for our family of four. The location works very well, close to everything but in a quiet street between Bairro Alto and Av. Liberdade. The staff in reception was friendly and gave us some good tips. Perfect base to discover Lisbon.

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighbourhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
