The palacio Ramalhete has perfect interior design, understated luxury and everything you are looking for in a hotel in Lisbon. But the service is not there (yet). Staff needs a little more training probably. Definitely worth staying there. Just a warning for American tourists : do not expect slippers in your room, laundry over night or your glass of water... This place is such a gem. The hotel is so delightful and the staff could not be more helpful. I stayed in the hotel before heading of to a yoga retreat and when I came back to Lisbon, they let me store my luggage while I killed time before my flight, which is just an example of how lovely they... I spent two nights at the Palacio Ramalhete in Lisbon, and had a charming stay. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff Cata, Joana, Rafaela, Farah, Neuza, Pedro and Margarida couldn't do enough to be helpful from recommending restaurants and printing out walking maps, to pouring the best gin and tonic I have had for years. The outside terrace... I booked three nights at the Palacio Ramalhete for my honeymoon via the Mr & Mrs Smith website. The room, the lounge, the patios and pool areas are absolutely beautiful and kept very clean and tidy by the maintenance staff. I’m afraid that’s where the positives end as the rest of the hotel staff let the whole place down. I... More

Beautifully restored and tons of charm! Feels like taking a step back into 19th-century Lisbon but with some nice mod cons like a pool. Our room on the top floor (no elevator, but an easy climb) faced away from the street and was nice and quiet, with original wide-plank floors. The insulation was quite good, barely heard a peep fromother... More

It's a small boutique hotel with amazing Portuguese tiles and decorations. Staff were welcoming and professional. Our breakfast was on the terrace with great variety and quality. All rooms have different characters and the pool is a plus. The location is a bit distanced from all tourist sites, it feels really relaxed to come back to hotel after all day... More

We loved Palacio Ramalhete, it's a very unique and special small hotel. The decoration is beautiful, the original ol Portuguese tiles give the place a very special charme. Our rom was warm and individual decorated, the location itself is very good, with several small Restaurants around and fast to the city center. We liked it a lot and highly recommend... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the Ramalhete room which is very spacious with a separate lounge room and bedroom which is bright and airy and very impressive. The bathroom was a complete let down for such a grand room. We actually loved our room, but the service at this hotel is non existent. The staff seem so uninterested in... More

We enjoyed our time in Lisbon. Our host, Pedro, made sure that we could navigate Lisbon like natives. The breakfast was fantastic! Our view of the Rio Tajo was lovely. The pool was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

The hotel itself is quite beautiful and the location is very good. It's in a quieter residential part of Lisbon but with great access to the river and to trams and other forms of transport. The staff however, are a very different story. In the past when I've stayed in a hotel in a place where I haven't been before... More
