We stayed at the hotel with our 3 yr old boy. The hotel needs a refurbishment and staff could be warmer. However the hotel is located bang opposite the metro station and is very close to the old city. Trams to Belem and other important routes are easily accessible too. Overall average hotel but in a fantastic location!

3 days for me and my wife cost 150 euro. The top floor is open, has tables, nice view, has a pool. Our room had a kitchenette with dishwasher, dishes, and range to cook on with utensils. Large room, strong wifi, big bathroom with a strong shower with good heat. Ana at reception was very helpful in answering questions and...

The location is perfect, near everything that you wanna do in Lisboa, special if you don't have so much time in the city. The room is not that new, but the bed is good and the place is clean. Plus, this hotel is a gorgeous building. A lot of people take picture of it.

The VIP Executive Eden Aparthotel is in a great location in the center of town with a metro station right outside the door and a host of terrific restaurants within walking distance (including a whole street of restaurants one street away). We took the Metro back to the airport after our trip – 45 minutes (or 15 minutes by taxi)....

VIP Eden was situated in an excellent location right downtown and close to the many sights and basically next door to Rossio Station. From this station, you can travel to Sintra and other sights along that route. The other locations are just a walk away and many within a short distance. On arrival, our check in was quick and pleasant....

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
