Like someone else said, for what I paid I wasn't expecting such a good hotel. The rooms seem newly renovated and very nicely designed. Very clean. Plenty of outlets for chargers. Nice rainhead shower. Friendly helpful staff. Perfect location near Figueres and Rossio squares. Every possible transportation option nearby including airport bus. Tons of restaurants nearby. Excellent breakfast. Good convenience...

The location is it perfect for explore Lisbon. A lot of objectives are close to the hotel, also the tram station and metro station are near by. The room where I stayed was big and clean, they clean the room every day. The breakfast was good and you can choose from different kinds of food. Absolutely recommend.

When we first booked the room, we were not expecting for anything special because the location was so good and the price was quite low, which gave us the impression that it would be just so-so. Then we arrived at Christmas eve and we were really amazed. The staffs were really kind and nice, and the room was quite...

We were moved to this hotel from My Story Hotel Ouro as there was a problem with our room! We were told we were getting a suite instead that had never been used before. This did not happen, in fact the room was quite small but adequate for a few days. The view was of a skip, crane and builders...

We spent 3 nights at the Lisboa Plaza in early November for our first visit to Lisbon. We couldn't have made a better choice. The hotel is centrally located just off the Avenida de Liberdade in a quiet side street. We booked a superior room which has was spacious and well furnished. The staff were very friendly. There is an...

Not a 3 star hotel. The reception looks nice on homepage but the room in poor condition. and standard. Only one faucet in sink worked and the faucet (tap) Cold water in shower, so had to take a cold shower in November. The receptionist agreed when we complained and said that they plan to renovate the rooms.

Small hotel, nice and clean, staff friendly and very helpful, breakfast extra, but its good freshly cooked hot food, not left to get cold, downside can be a bit noisy if you have a street facing room, trams pass by under the windows, very well situated in the central part of town, would definitely stop here again.

I was in Hotel Lisboa Tejo in May. Almost everything was absolutely perfect: service, location. People here are very helpful, nice, always smiled. When I came I got a free welcome drink what was really nice =) The room was always clean and everything I need was there. The only two things worried me a little bit: soundproofing (you can...

We just returned from a great first trip to Portugal. We stayed at the Lisboa Tejo for a total of 6 nights (4 and 2) broken up by a side trip to Lagos in the Algarve. Our room for the first 4 nights was #415 on the 4th floor. We loved this room, large by European standards and very quiet...

Good hotel this. Friendly staff, good location - walkable to most of the main attractions and a tram stop nearby. Clean and tidy as well. If I had to moan, the room was a bit on the small side and there was no street view, just a light well - tho the street can be noisy by all accounts.

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
