If you are looking for a place to stay in Lisbon, look no further. Juan is so great and helped us make the most of our time in Lisbon! Best service I have ever experienced while on travel. The rest of the Casa Amora family are wonderful too! Both guest houses we stayed in were beautiful!

We found "Casa Amora Guesthouse" by chance and are very happy that we stayed in this guest house with a very personal touch. The duplex apartments are very spacious, like suites in prime hotels, these are fully equipped. The breakfast is excellent, fresh juices, fresh eggs, all organic products etc. We recommend "Casa Amora" due to its personal touch to... More

We have travelled extensively in Portugal, but never to Lisbon. However we were hoping to find traditional friendly Portuguese hospitality in this city break. We were not disappointed - in fact bowled over by the attention to detail. All the staff really tried their utmost to anticipate our needs and ensure our stay was as carefree and memorable as they... I took my partner to Casa Amora for a romantic weekend and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Juan organised some roses for me which were some of the best I've ever seen. Needless to say my partner loved them! The home cooked treats that were baked every day are a really nice touch too.

Great experience with our stay in Casa Amora. Room very stylish, perfectly clean and specious. Great breakfast and over kind and helpful hosts, both Juan and Luis. Location is also great and many spots in Lisbon are in walkable distance. Hosts were very flexible and recommended great places for sightseeing and bars to visit. Very enjoyable stay and we would... Casa Amora is delightful! The staff is exceptionally friendly; Juan in particular is incredibly helpful and welcoming. The rooms are nicely appointed and very quiet. Breakfast is excellent---and not just for a hotel breakfast. The cinnamon french toast was the highlight, but fresh juice, organic fruit, very good cheese and cakes, eggs, and the best coffee we had on our... More

It's to be listed among one of the most cosy, accurate, fascinating guest houses I've ever been. Luis, the owen, shows an amazing attention to details from the kitchen and its colorful patio to each and very room. Breakfast to be taken in the patio is one of the most gourmet breakfast ever!! True portuguese atmosphere in the house with... More

We stayed at Casa Amora for two nights, and so glad we chose this magical spot. We were met by the manager, Juan, who was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Great apartment, fabulous staff (especially Juan) and the terrace - it's fantastic. A lovely place to have breakfast or to have an afternoon drink and talk with fellow travelers, sharing experiences. Breakfast was terrific, plentiful and very fresh. The best accommodation over 6 weeks of travel

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Amora is a typical building of Lisbon’s early twentieth century petite bourgeoisie, renovated in 2012, with a small outdoor patio for rest or meals and 5 bedrooms (all with bathroom). Each room pays homage to one of the great figures of Portuguese art (painting, music, literature, film) of the last century. The process of renewal and adaptation carefully kept all the decorative elements existing in the rooms (plaster) and exterior (tiles, balcony), introducing a color palette that contributes to a peaceful and relaxing environment. Casa Amora is located in one of the nicest and most central districts of Lisbon, Praça das Amoreiras. In this neighborhood, where the 18th century Aqueduct (that survived the great Lisbon earthquake of 1755) reaches and end, Casa Amora is neighbor to Water Museum (Museu da Mae de Agua) and the Vieira da Silva / Arpad Szenes museum. Residents and visitors have easy and direct access to the neighborhoods of antique shops (Rua de Sao Bento and Rua da Escola Politecnica), historic districts (Bairro Alto and Chiado), Avenida da Liberdade and its fashion shops as well as the shopping center Amoreiras, all at walking distance. ... more   less
