We did not have a good start with Residencial Joao XXI upon our arrival. First off the airport pickup we arranged through the hotel did not show due to an am/pm mix up. Not an issue, we just caught a taxi into town instead. When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised to find out that they gave our... More

The room was very spacious and nicely decorated and the bed was very big and comfortable. The a/c worked fine and so did the wifi. There was a lift, which is very rare in Lisbon. The train station Entrecampos is about a 30 minute walk from the hotel and most of Lisbon's attractions are also within walking distance. The staff... More

A very acceptable budget class hotel. Rooms comfortable. Internet satifactory. Staff very helpful and bus 760 from the door takes one directly to Praca do Comercio. Plenty of restaurants in the area and Metro STation Picaos allows one to connect with the airport.

The bed wasn't comfy, the spring mattress was really noisy. At the first night I went to take a shower and the shower head was broken. The whole bathroom stood flooded. There were no bath amenities. This was a tiny room just beside the front desk.

It is extremely affordable and has everything i required, i.e, a lift, free wifi and an english speaking receptionist (in this case 24 hrs). The rooms are no great shakes...but not unclean or anything. There are two metro stations within walking distance (well because Lisbon is all undulating and has cobble stones, so with luggage those stations seem a bit... More

Booked to stay at Residencial Mar dos Acores. However, upon arrival we were told our room was in Joao XXI. We weren't too worried about quality though as we only needed somewhere cheap to stay during Nos Alive festival so this wasn't really an issue. Location is slightly dubious with prostitutes frequenting the street outside. Bathroom smelt of drains when... More

You get what you pay for. The rooms are a little dated as are the bathrooms but it is cheap and has free Wi-Fi. Perfect for anyone on a budget or for short one or two night stays. It is conveniently situated 10 eur taxi ride from the airport. All the rooms have a TV and air-conditioning. They have a... More

We booked 4 person room for very low price. The room was just enough to sleep. 1 double bed, 2 single beds, TV, bathroom. Not much space for walking around. If You go to visit Lisbon, and do not intend to stay in the hotel this is good place. Central location, near tram and metro. I recommend the restaurant just... More
