We spent 3 nights at Augusta Boutique House. The location is great, close to Praça do Comércio, you can reach all attractions easily. The room was very comfortable, clean and with a nice balcony. Breakfast is very good and is served on the terrace which has an amazing view. The staff were all wearing face masks and all necessary measures against covid-19 were taken so we felt quite safe (this is true for everywhere in Lisbon, they all take it quite seriously). Absolutely recommended.
When we travel any hotel must meet a certain 3-bullet point criteria. 1. Clean! 2. Central Location to sights 3. Must include certain amenities (safe, air conditioning/heat etc.) My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and I would never imagine a better location for our stay. The staff was pleasant and helpful although the only interactions we had was if something needed to be done. It was always done with heist and courtesy. The design of the entire hotel is nice; however, at times, not so practical or the execution might have suffered a bit. Understandably, all such hotels are usually tiny. There is no dining room, nor proper size waiting area at the reception. All this hotel has is the check-in counter, rooms (3 on each floor) and terrace (I guess roof - never came up there since the weather wasn’t willing) Breakfast has to be brought into your room. That is usually done on a large tray and the person simply barges in without “May I..?” Or “Would you like me to?..” I had to stop that person the second day and took the tray off her hands at the door entrance. Thermostat is so complex that one would need a manual to figure out how to adjust temperature and switch between heat/cool. Bathroom has towel hooks, not towel bar(s) not allowing towels to dry properly. Our towels were NOT changed even once during our stay. Shower door didn’t close all the way and we didn’t want to force it since it would shatter, creating quite a significant leak on the floor after 2 of us taking showers. These might be small things but they certainly compiled to a larger experience. …
The hotel location is fantastic. We took Aerobus 1 from the airport to Rossio Square. It was an easy 3 minutes walk to the hotel. Fabrica de Nata is right next door. We had to ring the door bells a few times and waited a bit for someone to let us in to check in. Our room was facing Rue Augusta but we heard no noise with the window closed. It was easy to walk around or take the metro and tram. There were a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. We found a currency exchange place a few doors down with excellent rates. We stayed 4 nights. We had our breakfast in our room the entire stay either due to the weather or the terrace capacity. The breakfast was quite good. The breakfast serving time started at 8:30AM. They packed us a bag of breakfast for an early morning tour. Our only issue was with the shower door. The door didn't close tightly, so the floor got wet no matter how careful we were. Overall, we are very happy with our stay.…
I knew that my hotel should be again in this central pedestrian area to avoid traffic noise and this one exceeded all my expectations! My room was on top floor, courtyard side (503) with a glimpse of Rossio statue and I heard literally nothing from the street - wonderful! Tidy, modern room with good bed and a small, stylish bathroom. Very attentive and care taking staff! Breakfast tray included all the basic elements brought to your room at the time agreed. Only I would have liked proper coffee instead of making my own with the cheap machine in the room :) Recommended! This is the one for me also next time!
The location was fantastic. We opened our window and can see the crowds and restaurants up and down the walkway. This was just off Rossio square which his the hub of activity. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast with views on the rooftop terrace or they deliver it to your room. Highly recommend.
