Normally people make one-day trips to Sintra which is convenient. But we decided to spend a night and it was a perfect decision. The house is kept with love and attention, beautiful garden, wonderful breakfast, views, terrace. There is nothing we did not like about this place! If I ever come back - I will not look for any other...

I loved staying here - it felt like visiting a favorite auntie's home - so welcoming and warm. Great linens, very clean, lovely public rooms and an amazing host! Huge breakfast with fresh eggs cooked to order, fresh juice, the best granola and local yogurt, beautiful breads, cheeses, meats. Every evening after dinner out, we returned to play cards by...

We really enjoyed spending a night at the Sao Miguel Guest House. The room and bathroom were spacious and super clean. Our host made us feel welcomed and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, made recommendations for dinner and also give us a list of things to see in Lisbon. We even shared a Porto with...

We loved this place. Would come to Sintra again just to stay here. Breakfast was the best so far on this trip. Excellent. Teresa organised airport transport to meet us, she organised two fabulous restaurants for us to experience and greeted us back at the house with a glass of port. The house is exquisite. Bed comfortable - absolutely nothing...

A lovely overnight stay in a beautifully decorated home. Breakfast and breakfast room superb. Great restaurant recommendation A Reposa. Easy walk to Palacio Nacional and central Sintra. Wonderful advice for our upcoming tour of the region. Well worth considering.

We had the most wonderful two night stay in the Sao Miguel Guest House. Our room was in the top of the house with a view of the Moorish Castle, and overlooking the garden. We had a sitting area and newly renovated bath. For us, it was very comfortable and very charming. I usually stay in luxury hotels, but decided...

What a wonderful location and a great Staff. This is the best hotel/B&B that I ever stayed at. They were so helpful with booking cabs, dinner reservations and just plain taking care of us. Their breakfasts were plentiful. There were always willing to take time to explain the history of the area and help you decide what to do the...

At the suggestion of a Portuguese friend here in Miami, we stayed at one place the whole nine days we were in Portugal. He told us that from Sintra we could go anywhere rather quickly. That turned out to be true. We stayed at the Sao Miguel Guest House. The Manager, Teresa, always happy and smiling, gave us great suggestions...
