As said by other guests, the hotel is very attractive, the gardens and pool area beautiful, the staff excellent and friendly and you could not wish for a better breakfast ( including Prosecco). However, the Bella vista is a five star hotel and as such we were disappointed in several respects: the wifi is very temperamental and sometimes non existent...

This is the first time we have stayed in a hotel which came close to perfection. The room was wonderfully quiet with a lovely outlook and the food outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for staff members at Reception and in the Dining Rooms. Breakfast was a feast in itself and there was a choice of Dining Room for Dinner....

We stayed at this hotel for a week in May, from the minute we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We stayed in the main building in a superior room, which was very comfortable, the bathroom was a bit dated but perfectly serviceable. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of...

This hotel has grown around an original property with some new annexes added in the same style. Nice gardens with some exotic trees. Tennis court. Large car park makes easy parking if needed. Resonable gym, and jacuzzi beside pool area. Heated pool is bonus. Separate old house with more suites and gourmet restaurant a la carte. Integral restaurant with 5...

This hotel is quiet, tastefully furnished, well-run with excellent service and friendly staff. Very adequate breakfast served in a splendid sun-drenched dining room over-looking lush gardens. Too far from town to walk, but nicely served by taxis and public bus. There is also a hotel van but seats need to be reserved in advance. Nice place to stay if you...

Due to flight delay, we missed our first evening meal on our half board holiday, but we were delighted with the whole Quinta experience. The staff couldn't be more helpful in all departments. The hotel gardens were a delight as were the excellent 5 course meals each evening. Our rooms were spacious and expertly cleaned each day. The common areas...

We stayed here for one week in May 2017. We had a lovely suite in the old house which was very comfortable and spacious. We found the staff to be very welcoming and attentive. They even supplied hair conditioner to my wife, as she'd forgotten hers, and cleaned a very muddy pair of trainers that I'd been mountain biking in....

The service here was spot on - friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and anticipating everything. Rooms were spotless, although bed was very hard ( they supply mattress overlays if you ask), and gardens a delight. The pool was warm and well-tended, with a good bar next to it. However, we were on half board status, which meant that each evening...

This place is a very nice old European property. Like all quintas it's a reformed mansion with lovely grounds overseeing the Funchal Bay. Service is lovely : attentive, polite and unobtrusive. The luxury bedrooms are roomy and well appointed but can be damp and with limited view (the green cover is very close). My friend was told at reception desk...
