Stayed in Duas Torre during my round trip through Madeira for EUR 60 a night for a large room with seaview. The staff was super friendly and they even brought me the beer to the Jacuzzi. Room was large and clean, had a good standard and Internet was fast. Definitely one of the better four star hotel in Funchal.

This hotel has just had a makeover which has really made a difference. The rooms are very spacious and bright. It's worth paying the 10€ a night upgrade for the full sea view as they are south facing and get the sun all day. My only criticism is the rooms don't have a toaster, we are coming back in January... I booked this hotel on a lark, and I was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is neatly situated near the Madeira Forum, restaurants, and the beach. It is easy to take the bus or catch a taxi over to Funchal proper. The rooms here are spacious and very clean. I was lucky enough to get a west facing room on the... More

We stayed in August. It was acceptable for the price. We booked bed & breakfast and wish we hadn't bothered. Very basic offering and the staff were borderline depressed. The hotel seemed very lacking in atmosphere altogether. The pool "looks" good but is actually so full of chlorine, it is cloudy. No real gardens to sit in, just the concrete terrace.... More

Duas Torres is actually one tower, the other one are private apartments. Apartments are basic, good size with different layout and different views. 7 apartments on each floor, 11 floors. In my opinion, the absolutely best seaview and view to Funchal is room xx.05, best of cause 1105. It costs a fee for the view, but it is worth it.... More

We visited this island for the first time and found the hotel ideally suited. it's near enough to Funchal but at the end of the lido and therefore quieter. We did not expect the hotel to be just 1 Tower with an exceptional vista and the pool is almost an infinity pool as the sea is the most visible thing... More

We had our second visit here in June 2016 for a week. This hotel is approximately 40 minutes from airport. Beautiful scenery, very clean, this hotel is a 2 minute walk from the town which is very clean. Very friendly people. The hotel is very clean. Spacious rooms with good size balconies. Very quiet. Rooms cleaned every day. Friendly helpful... More

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Location is very good. Rooms are big and clean, AirCon works very good. We had luck to get room with seaside (1st floor) view without extra payment. Breakfast was same for 2 weeks (i bet it's same for whole year), very poor, no variety at all. Stuff pretend to be helpful and happy but overall... More

Stayed here for 1 week and had high expectations, I suppose, after the extensive refurbishment. The rooms are very clinical and spartan but I guess that is the current trend. The kitchen had 2 hot plates, a fridge and microwave BUT no electric kettle, I always take my own and a mug. Good air conditioning. The room I had was... More
