We came without a car as Durrães railway halt is just ten mins walk although the train service is not direct to Porto. The views - the peace - the setting - the building are all wonderful. Also breakfast served in adjacent building includes fresh fruits such as figs and kiwis from their grounds. Only minus is the elderly owners...

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) shared a king suite at this Quinta for 5 nights in August. The original building is I believe 16th century, so of course this carries through the rooms. We had a large sitting room with bar fridge that allowed us to store some day to day items, a terrace off this room,...

We stayed for three days in this beautiful place whilst touring North Portugal and were extremely impressed by the fantastic setting. The area is very beautiful and staying there was an ideal base for Barcelos, Vianna and also the many wild and windy lovely beaches. The pool area and gardens were stunning as was the room we occupied in the...

We were three families including teenagers but no kids, spending a week at this beautiful and poetic quinta with tennis-court and swimmingpool. Apart from tennis and pool you may enjoy playing chess in the library and furthermore billiards and ping pong. There are several small wonderful meditative terraced gardens at the Quinta, where you can wonder about. My daughter was...

Owners who live onsite are a lovely old couple who sometimes joins guest for breakfast. We spend 5 nights on this Quinta and didn't want to leave. The Pool is excellent, you can play Tennis, free highspeed Wifi and there is...

Found the place as a coincidence! Planned 1 night, stayed 3...pure serenity... Great place to just relax, read a book, enjoy the surroundings. Staff extremely welcoming, supportive and friendly! Rooms have a lot of atmosphere and interior design is nice.

A beautiful, traditional, sixteenth century quinta. Peaceful, with spacious, lovely patios and grounds and antique furniture. Very helpful staff. Nice buffet breakfast on outdoor patio and a rarely used pool. It was not easy for us to find using GPS. You should get directions before you go.

I loved the balcony which overlooked the fruit trees and neighboring area. The room had a shared inside sitting area, a complimentary mini-bar and a hot tea maker. We were told to wander through the fruit trees and eat what we wanted. My Dad loves figs. He is 91, so this villa was winner on his list. The dark purple...

We booked to stay here for 3 nights purely on a trip advisor recommendations as we needed a Barcelos base for a wedding. A little difficult to find and possibly a bit far from Barcelos itself (25 min drive), but it was worth it. Large, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice pool with lovely views (could do with more sun loungers...
