We stayed a night in Prime Hostel and was great. Close to the historical centre on a quiet street. The building is a beautiful restored antique house. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The staff was very nice. If we come back to Guimaraes we will stay here again!

Honestly, one of the most memorable places in my life. We got lucky when we arrived, that night everyone from guests left and we stayed with friends alone there. It was amazing. All the conveniences of modern hostel, but the house still carries its 17th century feel. The details, the wood, the stairs. And because the city is so authentic...

We stayed in a private room with bathroom and balcony overlooking Guimaraes at the back of the 300 year old house, built with large granite slabs possibly reclaimed from the old city walls. The house is situated in a beautiful street setting, that upon returning at night, gave the illusion of having a light frost covering because of the street lights...

Wifi in the entire house. We were alone in the hostel and situated on the last floor, but we didnt mind. Usually we would...

This was a lovely hostel in the incredibly beautiful city of Guimarães. We stayed in a double room with private balcony and bathroom. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we loved the breakfast which included homemade yoghurts. The location was also really good and the staff very helpful. Fantastic value for money - will definitely recommend this hostel...

Situated just near the main square this hostal is perfect for visiting most attractions in town. We stayed in a private double room and though a little small it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The Management are very friendly and helpful, full of information maps and hints of what to see and where to go.

Travel minded owners can recommend you things to do in and out of the city. Good location. Simple but good quality breakfast. Tip: Make sure to go up the hill with the funicular. The view from there is amazing. Most impressive thing to do in Guimaraes;)

Our group stayed for only one night but that is enough to impressed us of this lovely ancient house. Everything is in prime condition even though it's 300 years old. The rooms and environment are very clean. The common room and kitchen are spacious and fully equipped. The owner Fausto is very knowledgeable of the local history and places of...
