The room was good. The bathroom was very convenient. The overall impression of the hotel was very good until I asked for the iron, which they didn't lend to the customers, instead they force customers to use the laundry services. I ordered cleaning + ironing of the dress. When I was putting on the dress, I noticed a hole near the zipper. At first, the reception said that it was me who made purposefully a hole to ask them for the compensation which didn’t make any sense. I got the dress back 30 min before leaving the hotel for the wedding and I did wear this dress because I didn't have any other. Then they confirmed that it was ruined while it was washing. I was chatting with the hotel service over email about this incident but they just stopped replying without any compensation for the ruined dress. Unfortunately, I got very bad laundry and customer service experience.

Stinky room. How can they claim to follow Covid safety when the room stinks like dirt? We had to leave after the first night and a week later, our luggage, cloths, toiletries still smell. Had to have everything disinfected. Stay elsewhere. Management refused to cancel my three night stay

covid pandemie broked all our train tickets, so we couldn't reach in time the hotel. typical portugues character, because they didn't accept the late storno (we have paid bevore online). So we never will go there in again! Service-peoples are speaking a three-words bad English, even if you are talking a good portugues, they don' t notice it. The equipment is conform to the stars.

I honestly think Acta The Avenue is a vey reseanoble priced hotel, super clean, confortable, very quiet (isolates sounds from the outside very well) and has one of the best breakfast I tasted in all hotels I´ve been.

Just had the great pleasure of 4 nights stay at the hotel Acta The Avenue on a city break with very good friends. The hotel is excellent value for money, located about a mile away from the city centre. The receptionist was very welcoming and most helpful giving us maps and directions to explore the city. Our superior room was immaculate, beatifully appointed with a huge luxury bathroom, TV, a masive super king size bed and aircon. The lounge, bar and dinning area was very pleasant. I must give a special mention to Margarida, a lovely, very hard working lady who runs the bar and restaurant who was so helpful and courteous to all the guests. Breakfast was very good. The only downside to this hotel is the ongoing building works closeby, which make for a poor view and some noise with the bedroom windows open. However, very little noise can be heard with the windows closed and buliding work doesnt start until after 8am. This did wake us up on the first morning, but I'm sure these works will be completed over the next 12 months. All in all though, a lovely stay and great value for money.
