We slept here only one night, as a starting point four our St James’s Way to Santiago. The hotel is clean, but do not expect any luxuries or state-of-the-art facilities. Good enough, though. Breakfast was included (coffee, milk, bread, cupcakes, some cold meats…, and what it pretended to be orange juice, but it was not juice). The service was good...

We stayed at the hotel val flores in october. The hotel is situated just opposite the old city. Vey convenient for pleasant walks into the old fortress. One of the best preserved fortresses i have evwr visited. Very green, when we were there it qas the time of the castagnes , which the french call " des marrons". Everywhere (...

My friend and I spent a comfortable night at the Hotel Val Flores while we on the Portuguese Camino. Although the hotel needs updating, it is good value, very conveniently located just outside the Fortaleza (fortress), and within easy walking distance of a wide range of local bars, restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our breakfast of freshly baked rolls, cheese...

After more than a week sharing crowded and noisy pilgrim hostels along the Camino Portuguese, Val Flores was just what the doctor ordered! Situated across from the old fort/Fortaleza, +/- 50 meters off the Camino itself, the location could not be better. The hotel is not new (probably built in the 1960's), but the facilities have been modernized/renovated and it...

It costed us 15€ per person for a double room with private bathroom and breakfast included. Prety good if you ask me, and right next to the old fortress. Breakfast was good, not much variety though. Staff was very kind, nice and attentive.

We have to say that the gentleman on the desk was very helpful. We were doing Camino de Santiago and he allow us to park our bikes in a safe place and was very kind with the information of the area and to please all our needs. Breakfast was kind of poor but the price was so low we could...

There's other places for comparable amounts that are better. My dad got locked in the bathroom and we had to ask someone to come help. The maid told us it happened frequently. Breakfast was very plain. There was a weird smell to the room. Would stay in the old fort if possible. I think there is apartments and pensions inside...

We stayed here for one night last week (June 2015). The decor is very dated and the hotel itself is pretty bleak. I must say the staff were very nice and helpful but the hotel itself could be considered to be more of a hostel standard. The bathroom was clean and the shower was good but the room was not...

In the cold january, on our way to santiago, we stayed one night at this small hotel, and for the price we were very pleased. Good shower, more than enough heating, breakfast with the essencial, bread butter cookies coffe milk and tea and orange juice. The hotel is not the latest design piece but the staff compensates with simpathy and...

My stay at this hotel was due to a recommendation I received at a nearby restaurant owned by the same management. Since food was well prepared and the restaurant also very pleasant, I took a chance. However, the hotel room is very small, and the central heating is just not enough to keep the atmosphere in the room at an...
