The positives were many. Our one bedroom apartment was very spacious, immaculately presented and excellent value for money. It had a great view of the surrounding vineyards, with a private terrace. Full kitchen facilities were provided. A pool was available, but the weather was too cold for us to use it. Our host, Magarida, was very helpful, both upon arrival and during our whole stay. She provided many suggestions for eating out.

Just one negative. Location is near a small village (Vila de Punhe) which is over 10km or so from the nearest main town of Viana do Castelo. The village is lovely for short strolls, but a car is definitely needed for accessing restaurants and sightseeing.

What can I say more about our magnificant stay at Casa do Monte de Roques.
A beautiful environment, a wonderful breakfast, very clean rooms and an amazing hospitality.
The swimmingpool is worth trying it. With een excellent view over the hils and (fruit)gardens and good sunbeds, where you can dream your dreams!!

We stayed here for 6 nights and used it as a base to explore the area. Everything was very clean, modern and well appointed. The pool near the original house was lovely and we often had it to ourselves. Highly recommended.

The front gates and the driveway hint at something special. We were not disappointed! After a friendly introduction from Margarita (including incredibly useful and detailed written information about routes and the local area), we were taken to our apartment for two with a terrace. The accommodation is very well equipped and comfortable and we thoroughly appreciated the daily cleaning service. The walk to the beautiful swimming pool takes only minutes and you can then enjoy lovely views of the gorgeous old house, the surrounding countryside and the vineyards. We will certainly return.

We had a fantastic stay in these converted outbuildings in May 2016 - they are within easy reach of the coast and some stunning walking areas and just a couple of kilometers from a large supermarket. We stayed in the individual apartment with a large terrace, that had very comfortable sofas and a table and chairs. The interior was beautifully kitted out with a small kitchen, smart bathroom and stylish bedroom. Everything we needed for a self catering holiday. Margarida was delightful and extremely helpful, even booking a lovely restaurant for us on our first night, as it was our 30th wedding anniversary! We would highly recommend Casa do Monte Roques.

It is a great place with beautiful scenery, very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent service with dailly cleaness and breakfast delivered in a basket. We had a relaxing time by the pool with view of the vineyards, village and mountains. Highly recommended.

These are small, very quiet, serviced, rural apartments surrounded by vineyards. Recently built. In excellent condition. Well equiped. Impeccably clean.
Margarida, the manager, makes sure you are comfortable and have everything you need.

Very nice place to rest, enjoy nature and have a nice time with our family.
The apartments are great with a very nice balcony and everything you need to have a pleasant stay.
Surrounded by "Vinho Verde" vines and a beautiful view.
At the pool on top of the hill by the main House, there is an excellent view of the mountains and the sea.

As a group of six people, we stayed for a week at the end of September-beginning of October at this amazing place. It's a very beautiful setting, surrounded by vineyards, calm and quiet. The owner, Margarita, made sure that all of our needs were attended to. The rooms were cleaned daily. Kitchens were fully equipped if you wanted to prepare a meal. The breakfast basket for two was enough to feed four people.
