Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Old building, they don't clean. The room is cold. They don't put heating...is not worth the money. They also don't change the sheets in the whole week.. the night doorman is not very nice. When it was raining the water came inside and when the wind is strong outside u can hear it inside

At first glance when pulling up in the taxi my first thoughts were 'brothel' with my head in my hands I thought surely not. Once i arrived at the reception desk i was greeted by bin man with a badge who chucked me a key gave me a wink and muttered enjoy. Me and my friends headed for our rooms walking through what can only be described as something out of Schindler's list. Once we opened our room door my heart dropped as we were greeted with what looked like a movie set for a 1970s porn studio. Zebra bed sheets and Used condoms were our first sight. The ensuite had strobe lighting and the shower was a death trap. Down and out brothel

This place is an absolute dive wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me. Came to Brussels on a stag do and this hotel definitely saw us coming. 80 quid a night and we get camp beds with a thin sheet and a rug over the top which looked like it was covered in flees! Shelves were hanging off the wall and the decor was horrendous. To make things worse I looked down the side of my camp bed to see if there was a plug socket and there was a used condom on the floor!! Pretty much sums the place up absolute dive.

Luckily we were out most of the day but I had to clean upon arrival. its redeeming feature was that it was literally a 15 minute walk to all the fab places in Brussels. we made the best f it, it was warm and a bed for the night but I would not recommend. We had a police raid to start off the first night.

Need maintenance. Dirty walls, filthy old carpet in the corridors. The shower was broken. I adapted it with an old sock that I found on the porch where it is dirty with lots of old clothes and trash. The shower drain was clogged. Very thin walls. You can hear everything spoken in the next bedroom. Broken TV.

Avoid at all costs. This place is an absolute dump with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Overpriced as well for a pathetically dirty room in a trashy neighborhood. Better off sleeping at the train station.

We stayed at four persons room. The room was really small, containing just beds and one wardrobe. Also, you can hear what happens in the bathroom very well - not very comfortable. The personal was friendly and tried to help us with printing tickets for the bus.

It is definitely for budget travellers. Comfy beds (loved the blankets), simply berakfast (tea, coffee, orange and apple juice, bread, rolls, butter and 5 flavours of jam to choose 8-) Wifi ok, weak signal on evening weekends, bathroom ok (door nearly non existant- cheap plastic folding door). Stunning sunset view - if you get room at the back of the building.

Think I was in the same room as "I_was_ere_today"(room 14). I experienced all the same problems: the room was disgusting, plugs and lights not fitted, and an awful balcony. The room was so dusty it tickled my nose and instead of duvets, blankets were provided that looked like they hadn't been washed in the last millennia. The bathroom ceiling was mouldy and leaked and the door to it was a folding one that afforded no privacy. Breakfast was a sad affair, with only bread, jam and some stale croissants available; a much poorer selections to other hotels I stayed in on this same trip. I have never once stayed in a hotel and been concerned over things such as bed bugs, but I was here. STAY AWAY.
