The hotel is comfortable and clean, reasonable rates. Very hospitable staff, happy to provide assistance as requested. Very secured, 24 hr front desk service. Only hotel guests could get in and out. Ideal location for visitors !! Just a short walk to the Acropolis . Walking distance to other major attractions. The Acropoli Metro station is right by the hotel entrance. Very close to the Plaka district, so great shopping and plenty of restaurants close by. I highly recommend. .

An excellent hotel. Location, service, rooftop breakfast venue with great Acropolis view, reasonable rates and the lovely Princess Fiona the rescue dog. Perfect stay for 7 nights in Athens. Standard rooms are fine but the 5th floor suites with terraces are best options. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The first thing I discovered upon entering my room is that the hotel has no luggage racks or places to open a suitcase. I used a desk chair and asked for something else so they brought up a piece of furniture from the lobby for me. But plan to put your suitcase on a desk chair or the floor, which of course is not ideal. Once my suitcase was on the chair, I could no longer walk on that alley along the bed. It's a very small room. The bathroom is stylish but soooo small. The sink is only inches deep and the faucet runs across that depth so when you're running the water to wash your face you are absolutely always splashing water on the floor. The shower doesn't have a door that closes so you're always overflowing on the floor while showering, as well. And it's very strange that there is a window in the shower so people can watch you shower because there's no curtain. I've never seen that before anywhere. The woman who runs the hotel was so very helpful to me when I asked for a band aid. She generously offered me a wide selection of things to help me with my scratch. She really goes out of her way to help. George was the one to open the door in the evenings and was always helpful with anything I asked for. They manage the hotel like a family would manage a home for visitors they really care about. The location is extremely central - you will be in the very epicenter of Athens tourism, so that's a consideration. You are pretty much right on Plaka and can walk there to Hadrian's Arch in just a couple of minutes. The view from the roof is astoundingly spectacular and you can sit there in the morning with the best coffee imaginable and a wonderful breakfast and have an experience that really won't be matched by almost any other hotel in the world as you're staring at the Parthenon in full view and watching the sunrise and the clouds passing over the Acropolis. So while the rooms are very small, the experience overall is quite pleasant and a very good value for the money.

The view from the 6th floor breakfast patio is breathtaking! We even played cards up there at night. It is a short walk to the Acropolis, and the restaurant Greek Stories around the corner is fantastic!

I have nothing but good things to say about his hotel. The lady that helped us check in and out was excellent and so helpful. Our rooms were excellent and the breakfast was fantastic. It's located very close to the attractions, and easy to walk from the hotel.

The AD Athens must be your first choice when staying in Athens! We stayed here for two nights before our Mediterranean cruise. The hotel manager, a wonderful woman whose name escapes me, arranged our transfers from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the cruise port in Piraeus, two days later. She actually came out of the hotel to greet us and help us with our luggage, on arrival! The hotel is located near everything- truly mere steps from the Metro, or to the Acropolis museum, or to the wonderful restaurants of the Plaka! The Hop on Hop off bus (the red ones) have a stop about three blocks away. The hotel has a unique elevator. We absolutely loved the clean hallways and rooms. There was a TV across from the very comfortable bed. There was also plenty of storage space, and a closet with a safe. The bathroom was amazing, with a multiple panel shower! The sink was of a cool trench stone design- loved it. The hotel provided honey scented bath products. (Note: toilet signage in bathroom warns not to flush toilet paper. As is the norm in Greece, there’s a covered trash can next to the toilet. Greek plumbing can’t handle toilet paper. We thought this would be tough to get used to, but we adapted. ). Each morning a wonderful Greek style breakfast was provided with stunning views of the Acropolis! Again, I can’t stress enough how absolutely awesome this hotel is- you must stay here!

Very conveniently located hotel, just five minutes walk from the Acropolis and Museum. The Acropoli metro station is just a few steps away from the hotel’s front door. Lots of good restaurant options nearby. We were able to get to Plaka, Syntagma Square and other sights very easily on foot and metro. There is a nice view of the Acropolis from the hotel’s terrace where breakfast is served. Although a more modest hotel than the name suggests, it is clean, comfortable and the rooms are reasonably sized. Air conditioning worked well. The staff is friendly — the owner in particular is very responsive to requests. The Greek pastries and pies at breakfast were probably amongst the best we had during our visit to Greece. Some areas for improvement: Wi-Fi was somewhat slow; the bathrooms were a bit dark and lacked sufficient pegs or bars for clothes/towels. Overall, excellent value for money.

We stayed here for 2 nights and would not hesitate to return. The room was spacious, the bathroom modern, the area fantastic. It is right on the edge of Plaka, the old area of little streets with cafes and shops, and a short walk to the Akropolis Museum. Breakfast is on the roof terrace, which has fabulous views directly to the Akropolis. But what really made it special was the welcome from Iphigenia, the owner, who treated us like friends.

It’s a comfortable en suite room with a fairly basic breakfast on the top floor ( but looking out on the Acropolis ) so don’t expect luxury elements but the concierge was brilliant and it’s very well located a few yards from the Acropolis museum and some great restaurants just round the corner. Ideal if you want to get out and see Athens. No good if you just want to sit round a hotel swimming pool - there isn’t one.

This place is so charming! They are adorable, the rooms are clean and modern, the breakfast and view were lovely. They even held our bags for us for a few hours when we came back to Athens to try again to see Parthenon (rained out twice while we were guests). The location is literally up the steps from the train and across the road from Acropolis yet somehow feels quiet and often the beaten path. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Think the blend of the good things of hotel mixed with an Bnb.
