Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

very nice place, very nice room, good breakfast and very friendly staff- we realy enjoy . The location is not the prettiest but is good and close to Psirri, Thiseio and Plaka. 600 meters from metro station but we walked a lot. The bottom line:it worth it.

Lovely, extremely friendly hotel in hipster grotty-looking neighbourhood. But don’t be put off, it’s good grot, nothing sleazy or dangerous and the upside is loads and loads of great bars and restaurants nearby. The place is as clean as a new pin and everything is beautifully laid out with all sorts of thoughtful touches. My wife loves them for having hair bands in secure polythene wrappers because apparently women always need them and often don’t have them to hand. Anyone?!! Breakfast very nice, except the coffee which is a bit paltry and not that great when it does come. And very close to all the major sights. And frankly we thought that for what it was this place was incredibly good value. So, yeah, go there!

Room Tip: Get a back facing room as I imagine the ones overlooking the road might suffer from noise, possibly?

This is a gem tucked away on a busy street. The staff are very friendly, gracious and helpful. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The room was small but nice with everything you need. I highly recommend.

This little boutique hotel was totally beyond what we expected. The staff went above and beyond with absolutely anything we asked about. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast fresh and tasty and we can’t say enough wonderful things about Estia. We would go back without a blink of an eye. Thank you for being so welcoming and kind.

Lovely hotel with excellent professional staff. We had a one room apartment with balcony which was spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is very good with plenty of variety. Although it's on a small side street, there's a lot of traffic so was pretty noisy sometimes. The local neighbourhood is shabby chic with lots of up and coming new restaurants and bars, a good area to stay. Metro is around 15 mins walk and easy to navigate. It's around 30 mins to walk into the central tourist area. We'd definitely recommend and stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights. The apartment was spotlessly clean and spacious. The breakfast was an absolute treat - all home made and delicious! Best of all was the friendly and helpful staff team. I fully recommend this apartment hotel to anyone.

Booked the smallest room (with a nice big bed) for 2 nights while we waited to join our Cruise. From the original booking onwards we could tell this was a well operated establishment. Excellent communications on email & phone while we added an airport pickup & very late arrival to our 2 night stay. All went very smoothly and the room was a delight for the 2 nights, even with 3 suitcases! The hotel is a real gem with the breakfast interior courtyard helping to deliver a peaceful start to each day. A big mention to the daytime reception team which was headed by Marina while we were there. Her customer focussed attitude, personality and organisational abilities were just outstanding. She was even helping to organise our taxi from the cruise terminal even though we were no longer staying at the hotel! I saw that other reviews mentioned the general area the hotel is located in. We felt safe walking the streets day or night and if you're reasonably fit you can walk to the Parthenon from the hotel (as we did). We would highly recommend this as somewhere to stay in Athens.

The apartment was excellent and the breakfast was really good as well. Best of all was Marina who worked the afternoon and night shift who was amazingly accommodating. Even though she was busy and we arrived a bit late she worked at night to do our laundry when we were basically out of clean clothes and only in Athens for the day. She recommended a terrific restaurant and was otherwise a wonderful host. Best place we stayed in on our trip to 5 countries.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our first international vacation together. The room was a nice size, the bathroom was lovely, and the kitchenette was nice as well. We couldn't figure out how to work the heating and cooling at first but the young ladies at the front desk helped us figure it out. I became a little sick thanks to not getting enough rest on the 10-hour flight over and not drinking enough water. The people who work here are the best and make sure you are comfortable. They gave me halls for my throat, tea, and honey with lemon. I was feeling better in no time! The breakfast that is included in your stay is pretty good. They slightly mix up the options every day but they have a small kitchen so they are limited. I would 10/10 stay here again. I give this place five stars!
