We LOVED this hotel! We got a family room - two adjoining rooms with double beds (one room had a sofa bed, but pulled out and made up) and a spacious bathroom for $140. During the Covid closures they did a lot of updates on the hotel and it looks amazing. The rooftop pool is gorgeous and refreshing and the sunset views of the Acropolis are stunning. The location is great - right next to a lovely park with lots of flowering trees, and easy to access sites and restaurants by subway, Uber, or on foot. Definitely do the included breakfast - it was absolutely incredible. So many fresh and delicious foods of every kind, great coffee, and all at the rooftop restaurant with spectacular views! We want to go back to this awesome hotel ASAP!

I recently needed to help a friend who forgot some of her items at the hotel and i called the front desk to inquire if Somebody can assist me with finding her stuff and put it in a safe place until she pick it up. When I call the front desk agent who answered with name Vicky was extremely polite and willing to help me with my request.I would like to say a big Thank you to Miss Vicky and all hotel operations staff who helped me to resolve this problem . I cannot describe what a wonderful experience this was.

First of all, I loved the location. It was within walking distance of the city centre and I walked everywhere - Syntagma was only about a 25-minute walk away. There is a metro station (Victoria) close to the hotel as well. The hotel overlooks Pedion Areos, and I enjoyed the green view from my hotel window.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They advised me on how to navigate public transport (note that Athens does not have contactless payment on buses and you usually need to buy tickets beforehand from a metro station). They directed me to the nearest supermarket. They were always available for room service, which we ordered in a couple of times.

The breakfast was delicious. Staff were always smiling and honestly provided such a cheerful start to our day. There were cooked and continental options. Two things I absolutely loved were the poached eggs and the rice pudding (yes, a weird combination - what can I say about my palate). There were the usual options: scrambled eggs, sausages, poached salmon, potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon, waffles and pancakes (with Nutella or maple syrup toppings). They also had fruit, bougatsa, slices of cheese and ham, pains au chocolat, croissants, two types of bread rolls and fresh orange juice. Quite frankly you could subsist on the breakfast for the rest of the day.

But no! The hotel also boasts an incredible rooftop terrace called St'Astra (to the stars), which you must try! We visited both the cafe and the restaurant. Everything we tried was magnificent, but I do recommend the green seafood risotto, the mushroom orzo with parmesan and the apple pie. The cafe also does an incredible Angus beef burger and a divine (and enormous) brownie with ice cream. The view from the terrace of Athens and the Acropolis was mesmerising and they even had binoculars you could look through to see the Acropolis better. Staff continued to be friendly and helpful. Prices are a little on the expensive side (EUR 14 for the brownie, EUR 25 for the seafood risotto, for example), but in my view it was totally worth it. The chef is very talented.

The rooms were on the larger side and very very clean. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. Towels, bathrobes, slippers and toiletries were provided and replenished where necessary.

The one thing that could be very slightly improved are the lifts, which clatter alarmingly at times and were out of order on occasion during our stay.

I would highly, highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to be back.

Me and my friend visited Athens on January 20th for business and we chose Radisson Blu because of its reputation. Nevertheless things were a bit different.

As we arrived in our room (23:30) we were hungry and we called room service but no response. We called reception and the guy who worked that night told me that if i’m hungry i have to order souvlaki.
I know that closing RS department at 23:00 o’clock it’s part of the hotel’s policy and it is absolutely acceptable but in that category of hotel taking souvlaki as an option left me a bad taste.

After that i asked for two Gins with tonic.
The answer that i took was “You have to build them up by yourself with the mini bar products since the RS Dpt is closed.
When i told him that there is no tonic water in the mini bar fridge he told me that i have to go buy some from the kiosk across the road.
How hard could be to open the restaurant’s fridge and grab a tonic?

That was ok so far.
The most unacceptable situation happened next day (07:25) in the morning when someone has the brilliant idea to send constructors to renovate the room right above us in the upper floor. We couldn’t sleep so we called twice in the reception and both times they told that they’ll arrange it. The funny thing was that on the first time the lady asked me if it is very noisy and annoying. I asked her to speak with someone who was responsible for that and she told me that no one was there yet. The noise and the renovation never stoped. That ruined our stay.

Check out time and nobody was there to handle the compliant, to apology for the situation, no one asked about out stay and no one apologized about the inconvenience that they caused. I felt humiliated.

I’m very disappointed.

The good things were that they easily shipped my package when i asked them and they also provided us free parking. Nice location, nice atmosphere, nice and clean rooms.

because I’ve never felt more unwelcome then here within the Radisson chain.

I have arrived on a Friday for a long weekend in Athens. While checking the app I recognized already that my room was upgraded to a premium/business room so the hotel was aware of my membership with them. I always find it strange at Radisson, they never mention anything and you don’t know if they are aware or not while at hiltons they always say “thank you for your loyalty being a Diamond member”. However checkin was quickly and I was assigned a room on the first floor facing the street.

The room itself was newish with lots of indirect lights, usb chargers and a bit larger then regular. The bathroom only provides indirect light from the mirror, no regular lamp at all and I wonder how the ladies manage to get ready. Further I always experienced Nespresso machines in premium rooms. Not here, regular kettle with instant coffee. Wifi was fast and room cleaning was provided with no additional request.

On the day of arrival I received a further email by Radisson trying to sell ancillaries. Breakfast was offered for 16.90€ instead of 22.90€, premium room with view for an additional 20€ per night, suite for 30€ per night. So they had plenty of other rooms left.

Now let’s come to my issues: The street in front of the hotel is a main road with three lanes in each direction. Traffic noise all day and night, with the room windows not soundproof. Even working from this room is not possible! On my first night I went down to reception at 1.30 am asking for earplugs. I was close to tears because of this nightmare and I was also offered to sleep in another room but I declined. What the hell makes you think that this is an adequate room for someone being loyal to Radisson? The hotel has 8 floors and the first floor is the one with the most noise! I slept every night with earplugs to sleep at all!

Another thing, nowadays it’s even an official benefit to receive a welcome amenity in the room and in the past Radisson was always good with this without being in the rules. Nothing was provided.

I am now in the metro to the airport and my overall impression is that I was punished because I didn’t order any additional ancillaries. Taking this stay and another Radisson stay two weeks ago in another hotel into account I get more and more the impression that their member programs dropped rapidly down in terms of benefits delivery and overall customer recognition.

Stayed for 3 nights in September 2020. Good Covid measures with cleaning and mask wearing everywhere. The staff were very helpful, for example in printing out my ferry ticket. The roof pool area isn't large, but is still a lovely feature with good views of the Acropolis. My room was large though isn't too far away from needing a refurbish. The two downsides for me were: (1) while breakfast was very nice, the menu was otherwise not very imaginative and pricey (€20); and (2) the surrounding area isn't the nicest and the walk into the centre is about 30 mins (though taxis are fairly cheap and can always be found outside the hotel).

The staff were amazing, porters and cleaning staff included. Great view of the huge park, fantastic breakfasts and really enjoyed the pool which was not busy even in August. Ended up getting a taxi for most journeys (7 euros to centre) as my daughter felt intimidated by the metro (dodgy people pushing behind us through the ticket barriers for free entry). Hotel put customer service first. One great bonus Was a good sized fridge which I used to hold beer, coke, milk etc. Plus the hotel gay past 23 bottles of water every day, which we were very grateful for. We arrived in the middle of August and I had been worried that the air-conditioning might not be good enough but it was perfect - in fact the room was a pleasant temperature both day and night so we didn’t even need to use it very much.

A group of us stayed here for a few days and we experienced most of what the hotel had to offer.
The rooms were clean and were perfect for us. As with all Radissons the beds are always compfy so you can always get a good night sleep.
The bathrooms were light and spacious, prob the best of any Radisson I’ve been too, showers were powerful and red hot.
We only had breakfast one day here due to it being a Sunday and we struggled for else where, it is expensive at €18 and it wasn’t really worth it.
We ate at the restaurant but il write a separate review for that (3/5)
We used the pool are pounge areas quite abit, could be busy at some points, but it was lovely up there, and some on the views were incredible. Only issue with this is that the beers were very expensive, i feel they could charge less but still make plenty as people would buy more.
All the staff we dealt with were all friendly and professional.

The stay and the food experience (especially the breakfast) offered us a unique experience. The whole package was well prepared for a couple on Sain Valentine's day. Starting our stay with massage and sauna in the hotel's spa and enjoying the big and convenient bathroom of our superior room enhanced our accomodation choice.

Radisson Blu Park in Athens has a pretty convenient location, the room we stayed in was very comfortable and recently renovated. The front desk staff was superb! Very professional, helpful and knowledgeable as to what and how to see and explore Athens! Especially Evgenia Papageorgiu ! Her knowledge of English ability to communicate with guests and knowledge of Athens and its history makes her a great asset for Radisson Mgmt. Her two colleagues Antonis and Dionisis are also top shelf. Bottom line the ship is little tired but the crew is the best!
