Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tucked away in a little side street this hotel is a great find. Quiet, comfortable and very convenient for the city. Plenty of cafes very close by for a nice breakfast or a morning coffee. The rooms are a good size. We had a balcony that was idea for sitting out on for an evening glass of wine. Very friendly staff who keep it spotless. We would certainly recommend staying here and will definitely do so again on our next Athens visit.

Hotel's Favourite
Kristos and his family run a wonderful small hotel ten minutes walk from the Acropolis. They are super helpful and give great recommendations for where to eat out more locally as well as directions on how to get around. The rooms are extremely clean, the beds are comfortable and some rooms have a terrace. We stayed for a few days and then came back and used this hotel as a transition between two other trips around Greece. One of our stays we had a shared bath rather than private and we were impressed with the cleanliness of those as well. I highly recommend this hotel!

The marble house was amazing. It was very clean and the staff could not be better. Every day we had fresh towels, clean sheets and wash products in a very timely manner. If we ever needed more they were happy to help. Whenever we needed recommendations the front of house staff were always happy to advise us and everywhere they suggested was great. The rooms are brilliant and the AC works great. We had a balcony which was perfect for the 2 of us. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the marble house. Thank you so much for taking good care of us

The Marble House is ideal place to take a very amazing accomodation in the downtown of Athens. In a 100 meter radius you could find everíthing (small shops, grocery, pita places to eat breakfast, coffe shops. The stuff is very kind, the rooms have got balcony, wich is unique in Athens. Nice place in the nice part of Athens, we enjoyed it.

We have stayed at Marble House multiple times and now consider the hotel as our “home away from home” in Athens. A small family-run hotel, well located on a quiet street, it is exceptional value. Christos, Nancy and Manos do everything in their power to make one comfortable. On our last two visits, we very much appreciated a room on the third floor with a large terrace and awning. Highly recommended! David & Danielle Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Marble House is an excellent place to stay in Athens — a great value for a budget hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and I had a sweet little porch-lette shared with only one other room. The neighborhood is noisy with motorcycles, but the hotel is in a cul-de-sac and my room was totally quiet. The location is central, not far at all from the Acropolis. There are lots of places to eat in the neighborhood. The staff — Nancy, Manos and Christos, and the house cleaners — are friendly and very helpful. It was hot and I didn’t pay extra for air conditioning, but there was a very good fan in my room. I highly recommend this hotel.

This charming hotel is actually some sort of hidden trasure. Its location is ideal to visit Athens even by foot as we did. The Marble House Family is the nearest you my find to your own family! We appreciated Christos full scale knowledge about where to go, what to see and how to do it. His advices were as useful as those from Manos who mastered the French language ideally. We always got answers to our daily questions when passing by the reception desk. And we were delighted to meet Nancy. The hotel rooms are very nicely arranged, our bed was very comfortable and we slept peacefully. Of course we will go back to the Marble House on our next stay in Greece.

If you want a very affordable hotel, walking distance to everything yet just far enough from the tourist hussle and bustle, this is the place. The hosts are lovely and very helpful. Lots of restaurants and shops around, cheaper then the touristy parts of town. Nice affordable local restaurants and bars around the corner. 15 mins walk to Acropolis, and Plaka and 25 mins walk to Monastiraki square and flea market. Rooms are impetically clean. Rooms are a little small and bed a little firm but you can't beat this price. We were just in our rooms to sleep and relax anyways so it was perfect. If you are not looking for high luxury yet somewhere the meets basic needs and very clean at a price that can't be beat, look no further.

Thank you Christos and the Marble House family for a lovely stay in your hotel. It felt like a home away from home for our trip to Athens and Greece. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, and balconies and outdoor areas are amazing for a central city hotel. The Koukaki area is perfect for experiencing Athens life with great cafes, restaurants and shops and only 10 minutes away from the historical sites. We will be back to visit again!! Carmel and Linda.
