The Athens Cypria Hotel is a friendly, quiet and cozy 4 Star property. Ideally situated in the heart of Athens approximately 150 meters from Syntagma Square offers a fine base for exploring all the city's attractions. One of the most well-known shopping places in the city, Ermou Street...
Nicely renovated Lobby and great location.
But thats all the good points.
Deceiving looks at the lobby, makes a surprise when you enter your room, and realise that the decor is totally 80s. The furniture, tiny shower area, tiny working desk and awkward placed chair...More
I've stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and couldn't be any nicer. First of all the hotel is placed in the main shops road between Syntagma and Monastiraki where Athens famous flea market is placed. Also it is like 5-10 minutes walk from underground...More

Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents,
bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
