If they spent a few quid doing this place up it would cost at least double. The rooms are spacious and have everything . Staff lovely, location great. 2 mins walk from Thissio station and same to Plaka. Views of Acropolis, 15 min walk. Just a bit tired and needs a makeover but hope they keep as is - affordable....

Cost efficient place in good location. Very close to Monastiraki metro station but in quiet area. The restaurant has a nice Acropoli view. Rooms are rather clean. It's a good option in terms of costs.

I was supposed to fly to Greece Oct. 8, unfortunately due to air strikes we were not able to fly. We will not be flying out till tomorrow afternoon therefore arriving to Greece Oct. 12. I attempted to contact hotel to 1) change check in date or 2) get refund. It's very upsetting that this has not been sorted out....

Hotel had a good location close walking distance to plaka area and parliament. Lovely view of the Acropolis from the roof top bar and a good breakfast selection. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. It's an old hotel that smells musty has a tiny shower with tap that is waist height and very hard to wash under. Poor quality mattresses...

I stayed three nights here and really enjoyed it. I was made feel very welcome and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was brilliant with a most excellent selection of hot and cold foods and drinks. The breakfast is on the rooftop with the most spectacular views of the acropolis and the surrounding area. The room I had...

The hotel rooms were at best equivalent to an average motel room. The area surrounding the hotel is covered in Graffiti, which further detracts from the hotel. The only redeeming feature was the roof top terrace with its view of the Acropolis.

We have been on a booked tour of Turkey staying in beautiful 4 star accomadation. So on our Greece leg of the tour we were shocked by our 3 star accomadation. Don't get fooled by the beautiful photo shopped, web pictures on line! Situatedin a small, graffiti laden street in Athens, the, Jason inn is in desperate need of refurbishment....

We had 2 visits to this hotel, organised via Trip A Deal. I find it difficult to recommend. The rooms are very dated, looks as though they were decorated in the 60's, small, one room you could not open the door fully without hitting the bedside. The beds are hard as rocks! The saving graces for this hotel are, the stunning...

At a first sight the hotel looks fine, but right after the first night, I started being very upset because of the breakfast place: it is served at the top roof (which is the only nice thing of the hotel), but it was completely invaded by pigeons: they were flying and eating also at the tables. There was no way...

Rooms were clean, beds not too comfy, 2 twins. Breakfast was included which was on rooftop that is spacious with an amazing view of the city and Acropolis. It was open at night as well for drinks and dinner.

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
